Would love Utd to win this for 3 simple reasons.
1) Would be 4 wins out of 4 and would continue TC's 100% winning start
2) Would ensure we take 12 points out of 12 and top the group
3) We haven't defeated East Fife away in 41 years.
Hopefully put a few past them to help breed confidence amongst our camp.
Saw a game there two seasons ago, Farfir they were playing.
I think it's a very slick astro, not as good as the one we played on at Kelty which I thought was pretty decent.

Think Lewis Neilson and Trevor Carson will get a start tonight. Maybe even young Darren Watson.

Neilson came off injured on Saturday. Suspect the team will revert back to what started vs Elgin.

We are winning here through a shocking error by their defender but the performance is absolutely awful. No attacking ambition whatsoever. Lacklustre all over the park. Dire to watch. Identical to last season actually. The tactic of trying to use full-backs who are not that great at attacking to provide width hasn't worked here. All they do when they receive the ball is turn back the way and play it back to the defenders, a combination of nothing to hit in front of them, the lack of a trick to go and try and beat the defender and the lack of confidence/willingness to open their body and get the ball out of their feet and look for a forward pass.

Poor, poor stuff tonight.
Concerning team choices, tactics and performance. Not good enough.
Four wins though, in a competition previously used as pre season warm ups we were even more pish in.
Overall feeling tonight …I am concerned.

Yeah underwhelmed by that. Didna create much, however we've won 4 matches.
Some credit to East Fife who played well, and it stifled us.
Good finish by Pawlett. So for that he's my MOTM.

Swerved buying the game. Reading all of the comments from Utd fans it seems that was a good decision.
Quite ridiculous we haven't signed any attacking players thus far. We were the Premiership's lowest scorers last season, and so far we have done ZERO to address that problem. In fact we are two attacking players down now McMullan and McNulty are off the wage bill.
Without 3, no, 4, good first team ready players from middle to front i really struggle to see where the goals will come from. And if you don't score....
Well, we all know what happens.
We got lucky last season in as much as, there were 1 or 2 really poor teams in the league in Accies and County. The league looks like it will be stronger this season.
We must get some good signings in the door asap.

East Fife did work hard. But then again, it's easy to look good when your opponent wins the ball in a positive position then turns backwards pissing about passing it to defenders while the opposition get back into shape literally EVERY time.

Rotten from start to finish. Hardly surprising with the starting 11 we put out.

Terrible performance
Without improvements in the middle of the park and another option up front it’s a relegation battle for sure

I've nae idea where you start to analyse that tonight.
Nobody other than possibly fuchs and Freeman wanted the ball under any kind of pressure.
Defence looked all over the ship, our shape at the start of the match was like a school boy game.A better side will pick us off nae problem.
Clark and Shankland were miles off it also.
New blood is urgently required and every Arab knows we need a couple of decent center mids, width and a Striker.

gonna put my tin hat on here and say that i'm not seeing any real difference between the way Micky had the team playing last season and the way we are playing the last couple of games.
Still take 4 wins out of 4 buti have concerns when we play premier league opponents

There is no difference at all. Sure we pumped Elgin, but we gave Brechin 6 under Mickey too.
There will be no change until we sign better players. And no Manager can improve that.

Agree with most of that TEK but you should also add that getting some young talent into the team can make a real difference.
TC will need time to make a difference which he is unllikely to get as I feel that there are a number of supporters ready to erupt, if say we lose the first derby.
