A win against Dick Campbell's men should see us top the group regardless of whatever the result is against East Fife in our last League Cup group match. They will be a harder nut to crack than both Kelty and Elgin, however. Any type of win will do, but would be nice to a similiar type of performance as we had for the last 70 minutes against Elgin.
My team would be.
............................Siegrist..........................
........Edwards....Mulgrew...Reynolds.....
Freeman.................................J.Robson
............Fuchs.......Hoti.....Pawlett.......
................Shankland...Clark...........
Subs - Carson, Neilson, K.Smith, Mochrie
Harkes, Duffy, F. Robson, Butcher, Caves
*Assuming Liam Smith, Logan Chalmers + Archie Meekison are all still out
What team would you lads like to see?

Pretty much ditto that, although I'd probably give Butcher a run despite Hoti's outstanding performance v Elgin.

Chuffed we that.
A much better start, and overall performance than Wednesday.
In saying that it was a game o 2 halves. We pretty much dominated the 1st half but Arbroath come to life in the 2nd..Didna help when Meekison got thumped, and we went doon to 10, and left defending for the rest oe the gehm. That pretty much helped evened things up.
BTW, anybody ken how lang we were doon to 10 men for? (15 mins ?)
Cracking free-kick fae Mulgrew. When I saw him and Chalmers ballet dancing, thought to mysell - WTF are they dae'in? But some take.
MOTM for me Chalmers.

Was at a family birthday lunch today, so never seen or heard anything about the game.
How did we play? Who showed up well? Who not so well?
What happened to wee Meekison, bad one?

I'm guessing it wasn't one to remember?

Great performance by all in the 1st half. 2nd half - probably partly due to the the temperature and tiredness, and the fact that Arbroath got stuck in.
2 great attempts by Chalners that Gaston had to save, otherwise they were in. He also had a number if neat moves round the Arbroath box, and the byline. ( that's how he was my MOTM ).
Other nearies by Mochrie, Shanks &c.
That was all in the 1st half.
2nd half Arbroath came oot the stocks, and efter looking at the stats last night, that explains it. We were more on the defensive 2nd half.
Meekison was taken out right in front oe the dugout, and had to go aff. Nae booking or phuck all. Well Mulgrew gotta Yellow for moaning. ( Beaton the Ref ).
We couldna get any more Subbies on, so were doon to 10 for the last 15 mins.
Whar the hell is Sportscene.

Stop bringing politics into a football forum ffs. 'Nicolas 500' is absolute 'yer da' behaviour I'm afraid.
Anyway, come the 2nd home game of the season the majority of restrictions will be lifted and many of us will be back in.

Yesterday was a decent win. We were really energetic in the first half and could've scored 2/3. playing the last 15 with 10 men will do wonders for their fitness for the start of the season. Arbroath especially in the 2nd half kicked us around the pitch, that 'll hopefully toughen the kids up.
9/9 is what we were all expecting but even then i'm still happy with the start.

Politics kept me away from Tannadice yesterday.
Covid rates are similar on both sides of the border.
On one side of the border we have 60k at Wembley, 30k at the Open, 200k at the F1
On the other side of the border 500 at Tannadice.
That is down to politics, naive to suggest otherwise.
As for Yer da I'm not even sure what that means.

What's the story with 500 tickets?
Did you have to enter a draw to get a ticket or as a season ticket holder were you automatically in the draw?
Did some people get into both home games ?
I must admit I've not kept up to date with the cup fixtures but as a season ticket holder I've not seen any correspondance from the club on this.
Can you pick your season ticket up from the club shop as I've still not got mine yet.

Season Ticket holders get an Email if they've been selected to attend thru the ballot.

As I said above, apparently ST Holders will get an Email if they've been selected to attend a match, via a ballot.

I honestly dont know that, but woulda thought it unlikely ATM.
There are 500 supporters per match out of approx. 5000 ST holders. I personally haven't been to any of the games so far.

Not sure about that. I do know there was a technical fault with the machine that produces the Season Tickets a few weeks ago. They produced and posted out 1000 STs and the machine developed a fault. After a week or so, the fault was rectified, and then they were able to continue production, and post them out.
I was 1 of the folk who didn't get their ST in the 1st batch of 1000.
Best advice is to phone the lassies in the Ticket Office. They'll keep you right.

Thanks again Billy, I need to start paying attention 😀
