Neil Alexander

Seemingly has left the club.

What is going on there then?

Re: Neil Alexander

Hopefully nothing untoward. A loss either way though as appeared to be very good at what he does

Benji's development under him these past 2/3 seasons has been remarkable.

Really hoping it's all just a wild rumour.

Re: Neil Alexander

Not seen it anywhere else so agree, really hope it's not true because he's clearly good at his job and you want to see the coaches pulling in the same direction.

Too much commotion

Re: Neil Alexander

I’ve seen the tweet and he’s claiming he’s seen photos of him handing his kit back after a big argument with tam

Seems like a lot of pish

Re: Neil Alexander

Seen pictures of him handing in his kit, never knew it was a PE class we were running in St Andrews 😂 Load of shite.

Re: Neil Alexander

Time will tell on this
But remember he worked for a few weeks with Benji & Rack o lamb
and recommended Benji as the No2.

Are we recruiting people exclusively with the initials TC this summer?

How do you know he recommended Benji as the No.2?

You don't just believe any rumour you hear without any proof, surely? 😜

Sent a facebook post saying exactly that.

Rumours abound that Tony McCaig replacing him. We are very quick at replacing coaches and analysts. That's for sure.

There were quotes from Shambles saying as much🙂
That's all the proof I need as Mr Laszlo never talked any shit🤨

To be fair mate, Siegrist himself admitted that Rakovan was ahead of him when he joined the club and cites Alexander as the reason for his improvement.

Re: Neil Alexander

He's gone right enough but no bust up or anything, he was called in after training and told he was punted as they are wanting to go in another direction, Tony Caig is the replacement.
You can say that's the last of the old guard coaching team gone now.

Re: Neil Alexander

BTW Benji will not be happy he had a fantastic working relationship with Alexander, perhaps it was deliberate who knows?

Re: Neil Alexander

So that’s the 3rd different story in one thread. Not saying you’re wrong but why do people bother making up absolute nonsense. Got sent a screen shot of some boy on Facebook saying it was a bust-up then when asked for a source, said he was the source….. sound.

Does seem strange a random name is linked already. In fairness to the club, sometimes difficult to talk about these things but a bit of (honest) reasoning wouldn’t go amiss

Here's a 4th - apparently Alexander is at training this morning

We'll find out tonight.

Re: Neil Alexander

And now a 5th - NA wasn't all that good & stories of him being a factor in Benji's success are well wayward.
Tony Caig is a powerful figure & will be best mates with Liam Fox thro Livingston FC.

FAF.

Benji himself has said he was one of the main reasons for his development (link above). But now Utd have allegedly gotten rid the guys apparently shite and Tony Caig is some Goalkeeping Guru.

You're something else Smedz.

I was told two years ago by someone totally ITK at the time that NA was not the best goalkeeping coach in the world.
I wouldn't invent such a comment. My purpose in recycling it was to lessen any disappointment in losing him.
The Tony Caig reference was only about he and Tam Courts working together in previous times and it being thus possible that he would be a replacement. I did not suggest that Tony Caig is a 'Goalkeeping Guru'.
So I don't quite get your angst?

Re: Neil Alexander

You are mistaking 'angst' for amusement SmedDum.
