New strips

Revealed by end of June, released mid-late July.

Training kit available early July.

What is it with macron and late release dates. Not just us I don't think. Notice we will have 'special' strips for the team to play in the friendlies with. You'd think they would be able to get 40/50 strips made for the team tho.

As ever, hoping for a paint splatter remake. I also like a collar on a shirt...

Dundee have Macron as kit supplier too.

Their home kit was revealed weeks ago (18th May to be precise).

Re: New strips

I dont pay much attention to them but good to know.

Moreover I meant when we can get our hands on them. I know hibs had issues last season, as did a few others. Covid was blamed last year, the year before, it was blamed on us signing a contract late.... I wonder what the reason is this year

Re: New strips

If there is an excuse here, you can bet our club will find it.

New strips tomorrow. The back ground from the announcement looks interesting...

Let's see what happens

Re: New strips

The reveal of the new kits are (rightly or wrongly) a big deal to the fanbase. I would hope the club therefore get the kit launch spot-on and give it the pomp and build-up the support crave (and they do crave it, look at the disappointment yesterday in some quarters when the new kits weren't revealed).

Can't have a repeat of last year when the club were usurped by SSN after letting them video Shankland in the new top. The club need a P.R. win, not another self inflicted loss.

P.s. a new signing tomorrow in the kit would definitely get everyone more excited for the new season as at the moment there feels very little build-up or excitement levels with our season starting in just 8 days.

Everything feels just a little flat . Which shouldn't be the case when you have a brand new Manager.

Agree mate. The club's comms have just been so poor though I am fully expecting a simple graphic with a couple of players in the picture. Will be delighted to be wrong though!

I really hope not.

The media department have literally weeks to come up with a video idea and take the type of pics that will have the support begging the club to take their money.

Fingers crossed for something impressive mate. The potential paint splatter style could be ab absolute classic.

They will never beat the classic bairns doing gang signs on the discovery

Re: New strips

There was a rumour kicking about that Doyle Hayes had a squad number, the lot and was to be announced yesterday in the new kit.

Unsure how true that all was..

Re: New strips

Daily record said he had accepted the terms offered - a bit weird then

Re: New strips

Whats the thoughts then?

Personally...

Home top looks good - only slight concern would be if it will be enough tangerine to make it a traditional united top - guess we will see, once we get the shorts/socks in view too.

Away, i'm not bothered by. I see they have tried to use the paint platter top as inspiration but think the black paint/orange trim is a far more effective colour combo - also seems pretty light on splatter I'm not sure if its the top on the lassie but the collar/cuffs look massively big - but perhaps its a mens size shirt that she's been made to wear?

Re: New strips

Happy enough with both, don't think either are anything special tbh and maybe a bit underwhelmed but more fussed on how we play in them. Win a trophy in either and they'll go down in history as one of the best kits ever.

Re: New strips

They look OK - for the overall look it will depend on the shorts and socks.  Away might look OK with tangerine shorts and white socks.  I'm hoping it's traditional black shorts and tangerine socks for home.

Assume that the shorts and socks are still stuck in the Suez Canal....

Plenty pics of the full kit on the Twitter post mate if you can see it? I'll see if I can find a link

Re: New strips

If the away kit is supposed to resemble the Jackson Pollock away kit of 1994, it's a poor effort. My weans could have done better with microsoft paint

Re: New strips

Cheers - think they both look passable.  I think the away would have looked better with tangerine shorts, but I think it is a grower...

Think it's a poor imitation also.

Re: New strips

I quite like the home kit.

Hoping the 'tiger stripes' don't look brown up close however.👀

Re: New strips

Away kit is growing on me a bit actually.

Only slight criticism is would have liked the collar to be tangerine all the way round.
