Waiting impatiently for the third film to be released on DVD. The movie hits the big screen on December 12, but I can't stand going to the cinema with all its distractions such as over-loud sound track, people moving around or chattering, seats banging up and down, sweetie papers rustling, etc. So it's the DVD for me, sitting in peace and quiet at home.
I have the first two films on DVD, and plan to warch them again one after the other, followed by #3. A feast of Tolkien in one day. Actually about a 9-hour session!

You might get it coming out by end of Feb into March. Doesn't take long to get out on sale once out the cinema these days.
Watched the LotR series, not quite my cup of tea but not bad considering.

Yes, that's about when #2 came out this year.
The Hobbit doesnt quite stick to the original story, but as an entertaining spectacle is way up there with the LOTR series.

Apparently the new movie shows a 45 minute battle sequence.

I thought it was gay as fuck. I lasted about 20 minutes before I sacked it and went upstairs to play Battlefield.
Even the bird (who watched it all) admitted that she too thought it was gay as fuck, and has shown no interest in seeing the next one....thankfully.
