I only have vague recollections of this Striker, as i was only 9 years old the season he played for us and my old boy only really took me to away games close to us in Glasgow/Lanarkshire at the time.

I mostly remember him from the Glentoran away game which i watched the highlights of on the night.

I have often heard some older Utd fans say he was 'awful' etc.

But have re-watched three old games he played in tonight courtesy of the Arab Archive Youtube channel (including the aforementioned away game in Glentoran).







And i have to say, in each game, it looks like, although he was raw, he had something. 

Was it maybe just the case that we had such a calibre of player at the time that he maybe looked poor in comparison, initially?

He did come to the club at a transitional period, afterall. Maybe, more time and he could have came good? Or am i being generous?
