I'm actually surprised that no opposition parties that I'm aware of have made much of this either. Surely a vote winner promising to open the football, and other sports of course, back up to fans.

If people were voting for parties because they are saying they'll get the football back sooner (without really knowing if its going to be possible) then that would be a bit scary!
Aside from that, hopeful of having a decent sized crowd inside Tannadice come August. Not actually sure what the plans for the start of the season are in terms of dates, wondered if they would push it back due to Scotland's involvement in the Euros... I'd say even a couple of weeks pushed back could make a big difference given the % of people that will have been vaccinated by then.

Not really, for many it's their only real socialising they get, or event they can afford to enjoy before the 45 hour week begins the next Monday. I'm not suggesting it's a single issue vote, but something they add in to swing an undecided.
Besides, given we're 'following the science', if someone could send the transmission rates in which distanced football match attendance in stadiums, which are all outdoors, contribute to significant spreader events I'd be interested to see it.

You are right. I suppose I was referring to the only two potential parties that could make a difference. But this is a football forum so I guess its not worth getting into that discussion

A lot of political votes come from tribal reasoning. I would say the vast, vast majority of voters would never consider reading a full manifesto before choosing or validating their vote, self included. Small actions can have big impacts for a lot of floating voters. FWIW, Sturgeon has shown great leadership in taking the burden of delivering a speech each day. the result - a lot of people now sick of her.
It would be very interesting to know from America per se, where fans have been allowed in and cases were high, if that could be tracked back to sports. At the end of the day, as frustrating as it is for passionate football fans, you have to see the sense in not having mass gatherings of people in one area even if seated outside. (turnstiles, toilets, kiosks, meeting points outside etc etc).
However, there are a couple of issues which rightly caused annoyance. When indoor bingo was allowed but outdoor football not. that looked like a clear two's-up to football fans. And the lack of test games when the ones that did go ahead went well, was also very frustrating and pointed towards the further marginalisation of football fans in this country (to go along with the dry trains, the no-beer in stadiums, the bus searches, the policing at times etc).
