I have been quite down on Mickey at times this season. But i actually like this interview. He seems refreshingly positive.
Football aside, I'd love to just sit down for a pint with Micky. He seems like an absolute normal, decent guy.
And on Gerrard. 100% on purpose with the Dundee stuff. Absolute prick of a guy. (Albeit, an outstanding footballer).

He is a very likeable and down to earth guy.
Of that there is no doubt.
I just wish he'd 'bare his teeth' a bit more. But i guess it's just his nature and a leopard can't change it's spots, to borrow an old saying.

Rangers 2012 will probably play a lot narrower due to the absence of Tavernier, wise move to put another in a central position.
Sporle has played very few minutes for UTD so i dont quite share your astonishment at his ommision from the starting line up.

Good performance all things considered during the 1st 45.
We certainly dinna deserve to be 2 down at halftime.

We never got an ounce of luck the day. Even counting that pishy penalty that Benji saved.

Should have been 1 or 2 ahead before they scored. Poor to go in at half time 2 down!!

Found that match a pretty frustrating. We played very well in the 1st half.
We shoulda been ahaed, no doubt. But if coorse everything went against us.
2nd half they score a couple and we fell awa. Then icing on the Orc cake with Benji’s faux pax. Still got to consider, we were playing the team that's atop of the League.
Gled we got a goal against these chunts to lessen their record. Think we deserved that at least.

Not much to be said about today.
Played well for about 25-30 minutes and really should have scored one of the 2 or 3 good chances we made.
Unfortunately we then allow them far too much space in and around our box to shoot and lo and behold the game is over as a contest within three minutes.
Don't think 4-1 was a particularly fair reflection of the match, but i also felt Rangers didn't really have to slip beyond 2nd gear to put the game to bed.
We need to learn from days like today, moving forward.

Not much you can say about that.
It's not the first time we've lost 4 goals at Ibrox and it certainly won't be the last.
One plus point
We did look a bit more like a football team than in our last trip there.

Yeah shipping 4 at Ibrox is not exactly rare for United teams, but I would say we looked a lot better than our last visit there. We are progressing (very slowly at times) and although I’ve criticised Mellon and even today I was disappointed with his team selection and substitutions I have to say he is improving us.
I thought for Sporle to not be involved today was very harsh, hope he starts next week.

Sporle bizarrely never gets a run of games, confused as to why, always shows something when he’s played, they played a centre half at right back who was there to be got at, don’t get it

We take our chances and that result is totally different.
We need to be at it for the full game next week.

We started off well and could have had a couple of goals. After we conceded the 2 goals first half I thought MM could have changed it as they were getting a lot of space against both fullbacks with Fuchs and Harkes asked to play the wide roles. Don't think it was a coincidence that Fuchs wasn't at his best today as he was unable to influence the game as he was defending a lot of the time. Would have liked Sporle and Chalmers/Bolton on to replace Harkes and Clark to help the fullbacks and get at the Rangers defence.
Positives were we didn't concede from set pieces, Benji saving a penalty and Young Kerr Smith making his debut.
