Re: 12 points from safety?

Red cards and bookings for dissent. Yeah, that will help the cause.

Re: 12 points from safety?

Our results in the last 3 matches have been disastrous. The performances (hear me out here) were at least showing (particularly in the 2nd half against Hibs and Well) that we are finding ways to start creating half-chances, which we've really struggled to do. In the last two games, all the goals we have conceded have stemmed from individual errors:

- Reynolds not clearing the Benji save and then Bolton being dragged away from his position where he would have blocked the MacGregor shot.
- Smith dillying on the ball and losing possession giving Hibs a turnover (plus Butcher should have brought Irvine doon)
- Clark coming off the post and headering the ball off Shanks back, allowing Cole to flick it past Benji.
- Harkes horrific first touch and subsequent jog back to make up for it as the boy smashed it bottom corner.

So every one of those goals is massively avoidable. Mellon will take the flack (quite rightly) but the players need stand up, as you say Tek, and really dig in so that if they do make an error, which will happen, they rectify it with that extra 10% effort and desire to win. Every minute that ticks by, tomorrow's game becomes bigger and bigger. We have to go there and win. We just have to.

I was raging at his half hearted saunter back.

Missed my point entirely.

But not a surprise.
