Re: Mellon out.

We didn’t really get a chance to play too many games with Fuchs in the team with the 3-5-2 shape. He makes enough of a difference to give us not just a numerical advantage in there but actually dominate too.

Sporle deserves a chance over Robson who needs a rest but would need to play for the team and not to chasing balls over the right hand side of the pitch.

Agree with the rest of the proposed team although not adverse to Mochrie off either 2 of the 3 strikers. None of them are doing enough to cement a starting place at the minute. And having one come off the bench could be key. McNulty looks a decent technical player with the ball but we’re playing him out of position and his passing is poor. Clark very quiet yesterday and shankland doing his work in wrong areas with also a lot of disappointing contributions.

In terms of tactics, he was employing the tactics that (although awful to watch) were picking us up points. In the last 2 games he's left Edwards benched and moved to a back 4. This has cost us massively. I will hold my hands up and say I was calling out for 442 but after watching us in the last two games I was to see us back to a 352, difficult to beat in the next two away games.

Benji

Connolly
Edwards
Reynolds

Smith
Butcher
Fuchs
Sporle

Clark

McNulty
Shankland

The problem is (and partly why i am so worried for us) the 3 at the back with 2 wing backs wasn't winning us games either. Sure we scraped a few draws, but how many games did we win playing that formation?

One. Beating Accies 2-1 at home. And even that day we were very fortunate they shelled a penalty into the East Stand.

We really need to find a way to win games as the other bottom 6 teams are all picking up wins.

That's why it would be utter folly not to dip into the transfer market and back their man in the next 24 hours.

Agree, shite to watch but got us points. I was one too calling on 442 and although i believe hes got personnel wrong it still hasnt worked.

Give Mellon a bit of time, stay up this season and get rid of players  we all know need to go and bring in more quality. Boys only had 8 month, we were always gonna have a dip in form and as soon as we have boys are shouting for his head.

Gonna be another change and another bad run then another call for sacking. People need to realise we cannot just jump back to the teams of 2010 and 2014 because we are in the prem again.
