Re: St Johnstone predictions

Any ideas why we’re 16/5 at home to St J? Seems a crazy price. Slightly worrying as you know what they say about poor bookies

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Hearing there's a pitch inspection planned, game in serious doubt.....

I normally respond to such a question with a glib 'bookies aren't daft' comment.
They know an awful lot more than we do.
But as one who's been following football betting for many years I'm genuinely puzzled by our longer than 3/1 odds & their being odds-on.
DO they know something here that we don't? Have we got a team in isolation?
These odds do totally leap out at me & I saw a post saying the same thing on another forum.

Bet responsibly. I can afford to lose a fiver (just!)

Undersoil heating? Disgrace if called off.

Costs a lot of money to run the system..

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Other games have been put off until tomorrow. Can’t see why ours can’t be also.

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Don't see any reason it can't be played tomorrow, near neighbour's and all that.....

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Wouldn’t be the worst outcome if we delay this game for a couple of weeks Butcher,Fuchs,McNulty, Edwards, Pawlett all carrying knock/injured.

who forgot to press the on button?

Think we haven't bothered due to the above, perhaps.

Strange, you think it would be the ideal opportunity for Mellon to promote some of his 'Academy' players.👀

Nonsense.

I think a few extra days would help us get McNulty, Edwards etc fitter for the match and therefore we probably never tried too hard to get today's match on.

And i can understand why. Not sure how that is 'nonsense' tbh. A lot of other Utd fans are saying similiar.

Re: St Johnstone predictions

If wee Jeando gets the all clear from a surgeon on Monday and is in the 11 on Tuesday night then I'm all for it!

Its a bit of a head scratcher to be honest. Either we didnt use the undersoil heating, or we did and it hasnt worked. If we didnt use it because we didnt think we'd need it, thats just neglegence. If we didnt use it on purpose, maybe its more to do with the costs to run it. Either way its ruined my weekend.

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Farmers calling for SPFL to investigate why the game was called off so late.

"Dundee United have undersoil heating so we expected the game to be on"

I'm not one for giving the club too much stick but I really think they need to clear this up. Its simple. Was it on or not?

Nonsense.

No it does make sense to give our players a few days more rest and it was also no surprise to anyone that we were in for a bitterly cold one last night.

Not sure which area of the pitch was frozen but it was probably the section at the tunnel.

Seen some pictures online. It was basically the whole of the centre of the pitch that looked frosty.

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Not sure what temperature that our system can still effectivly operate at but it must have been close to it last night.

results went our way today with Hamilton getting beat and Motherwell drawing, a win on Tuesday will put us 12 in front of county as things stand and 11 ahead of Accies.

Re: St Johnstone predictions

Game was called off due to a small part of the pitch defrosting so i believe, that and the fact we have offered a later KO suggests the heating was on but didn't clear the full pitch?????

I can remember having a day out at the hospo cancelled because Saints couldn't be arsed clearing their car park so they can shut the fck up......
