Re: Aberdeen v Utd - 2nd January (3PM)

The stats show that the Sheep were the better team the day, but didna look like it to me. We played better the day than I thought we would.

A good few nearies the day. As usual just a pity nane went in, and no enough were on target. And there actually seemed to be a, how can ye put it, a kind oe reluctance fae some oe oor players to hae a go.

Connolly MOTM tor me.

Getting a point the day awa fae hame against they chunts wasna too bad.

Can’t see us making signings but we should consider recalling Mochrie with all the injuries we have

Doubt it will happen but think it should.

Agreed. If we can.

Utd never said how long his loan was.

Re: Aberdeen v Utd - 2nd January (3PM)

Montrose said it was until the end of the season in their article announcing it.

I'd be surprised to see him return. Has a bit of the Declan Glass last season about it. Recall and then rarely play him is what I could see happening. Agreed, I'd like to have him back and available for us, but for his own development I reckon he is better served playing every week for Montrose.

Re: Aberdeen v Utd - 2nd January (3PM)

I said after last week that Powers is the only midfielder apart from Fuchs we have that can pass a ball to a team mate and he proved that again today as we were definitely better when he came on.
An improvement in the 2nd half and had the chances to win. Don't know how MM can justify playing Pawlett again as he offered nothing and has had his chance.

Aberdeen sittin 3rd in the league and calls all over their social media posts for McInnes to go. The 21st century football fan is a right fucking idiot.

Their fans are bored of their brand of football, though. Have been for about 2 years or so. And i thought the past two games we have played them they have been the worst Aberdeen sides we have seen for a few years. Hardly laid a glove on us. In fact we could have nicked both games.

I can understand some wanting a change.

Baffles me tbh. Fair enough if they were sitting 5th, 6th, but they have the 3rd best squad in the league. They are sitting 3rd. They should be careful what what they wish for.

Re: Aberdeen v Utd - 2nd January (3PM)

Just noticed that every player involved on Saturday was at the club last season in the Championship. Upon reflection, the fact we felt slightly unhappy that we could have won the game should be seen as a real positive in my eyes. Mellon clearly is sticking to his word and improving the players we already have here.
