Ive got to agree with Pat on this as I've never seen the lad play so would find it hard to make a judgment on him and can't really blame him for what Utd said about him when he signed. As for coming and saying he wants to play for his national team I can't see what's wrong with that. It would be worse if he came and said he's happy taking his money and sitting on the bench.

"Got hooked cause he was absolutely honking."

Only thing I can really say on the matter is there was the rumour of him refusing to go out on loan at the start of the season and now this. When you hear multiple rumours about the same player from different people there's usually some measure of truth in it.

What a moany bastard. Did he have no regard for whether Utd's coaching staff were looking in on the Forum?

Earlier on tonight Archie Meekison scored once again for Spartans FC as they trounced Edinburgh University 6-1 away in the Lowland League.
Keep it going Archie.

Don't disagree with the majority of that, but the fact that Hoti was not what the club sold him as is true and his hiring did seem a little strange given what we really needed. I therefore disagree that you shouldn't question the signing policy and by dint of that what was behind it.
As for your own negativity, (inevitably falling down the table), you need to give yourself a shake - we're set for Europe...I've shaken myself, Finn!
Still don't think we'll finish in the top five.
I recall Hoti signing, the club talked him up in terms of potential, but why wouldn't they? I think some of the words printed and said have been taken and twisted as assurances, which they weren't: you'd have to be very naive to think Melon and Asghar were making guarantees for this season for a lad who isn't yet 20.
I think it's fair enough, however, to question the club's signing policy. But we'd all be best agreeing to disagree over the dealings regarding Florent Hoti.
I was being flippant of course - I do think we'll end up near the top of the bottom rather than the bottom of the top, but look at tonight's score - we're around about the Perth boys level and not far off the Hibs going by that scoreline.
Also i tend to agree with you on what the club said on Hoti, but they were playing to the audience which is not always recommended...

Noticed that DundeeUnited9999 asked, on the Forfar thread whether Hoti "got taken off cause he looked like he wasnt interested, is that true ? "
Only one person responded, more than a day later, that he was 'honking'. If the pair of you believe that single poster, then it's should be clear to you he wasn't subbied for being 'not interested'.

Pat, you can keep going with this all week if you want to.
Personally it's boring me now. You've jumped on not just this initial post but the Liam Smith one, claiming folk (myself included) love 'a moan'.
But you have purposely (i notice) ignored all the positive posts on here from others , since Saturday regards Nicky Clark, Chris Mochrie, Marc McNulty and Archie Meekison to name a few. One could say you're the one looking to moan about something.

If something is personally boring you, you could turn a blind eye it, the same as you ignored this comment about Marc McNulty a few minutes after Saturday's match>

McNulty did well at both goals, but generally that was a hard, hard watch.
and this one about Nicky Clark on Sunday morning, on a thread you started>

An especially good second goal from Nicky Clark yesterday, and he has got a few which has secured points this season. Quite a few times I've thought Clark's contributions would mean his opportunities would be limited, but he's been one of the positives of 2020 for me, badly missed following his injury last season too.
In short, what you've written isn't true.

I agree with all the comments about being positive, Mc Nulty performance was definitely one from the last game. very effective in build plays, even if he isn't bagging the goals for us YET.
On the topic of Hoti, week before against Cove in the cup he was the MOM. I heard that he setup the goal yesterday vs Dundee Utd in the 1-0 win, his through ball won the penalty. and according to Dundee FC guys, he was the best player on the park.
Who cares what forfar think, they are a dog team and lucky we gave them a player of that quality.
So rather than all the negativity on our guys, we should be pushing and complimenting them on the real happenings. So he can come back in January and show us why we signed him!!

I meant you in the main ignoring other posters positive posts.
But i will let you have the last word on the subject as it's rumbled on for days and it is not only very boring but also derailing the thread.

I didn't realise people posted here to be praised, but here's a recent post of mine on a thread you started:

A lot of well balanced views up there from Morphman, LarsErikKjell, Lilley01, Beharder, TangerineDream and BMT. Heartening to know supporters are showing patience in these difficult times. Plenty of other shit to complain about away from United's performances.
And it was you who started the Hoti 'not interested' rumour here, I countered your view.
That's my last words on the topic.

Hoti dropped for Forfar today

Pretty disappointing weekend past for most Utd loanees.
On Saturday past (28/11) Cammy Smith never featured for Ayr Utd who lost 4-0 away to Livingston in the Bet Fred League Cup
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Ross Graham played the full 90 minutes for Cove Rangers as they drew 1-1 away to Airdrieonians. The Aberdeen outfit have as a consequence, relinquished top spot in League One for the first time since opening day of the season.
Chris Mochrie played the full 90 minutes for Montrose on Saturday, but it was a disappointing result for the 'Gable Endies' who lost 0-1 at home to Partick Thistle.
Florent Hoti (as said above) was bombed from the Forfar starting XI and was an unused substitute. The decision was justified by 'Loons' Gaffer Stuart Malcolm however, as Forfar registered their first win of the season, defeating Peterhead 0-1 away from home. A result that moves them off the foot of League One.

Lastly for this weekend, in the Lowland League on Saturday past.
Nathan Cooney was once again an unused substitute for Kelty Hearts as they beat Gala Fairydean 1-2 away at Netherdale. Unfortunately young Nathan has yet to play even 1 minute for the Fife outfit.
And lastly for this weekend (and to finish off on a positive) Archie Meekison once again scored for Spartans FC as they registered a fine 3-1 win against Dalbeattie Star at home. The young attacker has scored in all but one of his 6 Spartans appearances so far and is currently sitting on 7 goals in 6 appearances.

What type of play is Meekison? Positionally and generally if anyone knows? I'm assuming the standard Winger/No.10/not quite striker that everyone seems to be these days......

He called himself a left winger in an interview last season.

This weeks Loan Watch started on Friday night (4/12) and seen Archie Meekison play the first 55 minutes for Spartans FC in their thumping 6-2 away win at Broadwood Stadium against Cumbernauld Colts. Young Archie kept up his impressive scoring form bagging Spartans 2nd goal of the night. The young winger now has 8 goals for the Edinburgh side in just 7 matches and has scored in every match he's played in bar one.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
The following afternoon (Sat 5/12) Cammy Smith featured for Ayr Utd in their 2-0 away win at Alloa Athletic, but it was a bittersweet afternoon for Cammy Smith who despite being impressive all afternoon was unfortunately sent off for 'The Honest Men' late on for a second bookable offence. The win moves Ayr up to 4th in the Championship,
___________________________________________________________________________________________
In League One on Sat (5/12) Chris Mochrie was a 68th minute substitute for Montrose in their excellent 2-1 away win at Cove Rangers. Ross Graham was an unused sub for the Aberdeen side.
Also on Saturday in League One, Kieran Freeman played the entire 90 minutes for Peterhead against top of the table Falkirk. But it was another disappointing afternoon for Jim McInally's men as they suffered a 2-1 loss.
Florent Hoti did not play this weekend as Forfar Athletic's away match against Clyde FC was postponed after the torrential rain of the previous evening (see the above Spartans highlights).

Nathan Cooney did not feature in Kelty Hearts 1st team squad on Saturday as they easily defeated Berwick Rangers 0-4 away from home to put them top of the Lowland league table.

Watched 'A View From The Terrace' earlier and they were raving about him.
Showed a clip or two of him and his movement looks superb. Twisting and turning and always looking for a decisive pass.

Archie Meekison starting for Spartans again in their Scottish Cup match versus EK.
