Another game against the team we seemingly play once a month these days. And a very important one.
Victory would not only see us win another Nations League Group it would also see us progress into Group A next time out.
And more importantly would see us grab a Semi Final Play-Off qualification spot for Qatar World Cup 2022.
I really hope we don't bottle it as i can forsee the Czech's defeating Slovakia.

Same starting XI as vs Serbia.
Shankland back on the bench too. Lots of options tonight.
Mon Scotland.

This is what we are looking for tonight.

Important game this, need to bounce back from defeat and keep the positive momentum going. Not a fan of seedings etc and the way they stack the deck for the higher ranked teams is wrong imo, but they’re not changing it so we need to take advantage and get up the rankings to make qualifying easier.

Unsure if I'd like to see Lawrence Shankland getting a run later in the match if we can't get a goal: it'd be great if he was a matchwinner, but there's always the risk of unlucky injury.

If he was to get on and score he’d be buzzing for the weekend, can only be good for him and us if he plays.

Disappointing result.
18 shots on the night and 12 corners. We should be doing better with those stats. Shankland must be gutted to not be seeing any action considering our failure to convert chances.
Need to take tonight on the chin though, learn from it and look forward to a hopefully favourable World Cup draw next month.

Frustrated for Shankland, hopefully he's not too disheartened himself.
With hindsight, Clark should perhaps have put a stronger side out on Sunday.
On the one hand I'm not as optimistic about our match v England etc next summer, then I look at the side we beat only six days ago absolutely hammering Russia tonight: a puzzle.
I think, if we're honest, we'd not have been in the position to win the group if we hadn't played a shadow Czech side in Olomouc.
I thought we looked a really decent side for a lot of the match last night. Dykes was either slightly off his game or being marshalled better, compared to the Serbia game.
I'd agree Shankand needs to get a chance ahead of McBurnie.

I thought we were really disappointing last night and Clarke has to take some of the blame. One example, we had about 20 corners and did the same thing in every one of them. We never looked like scoring from any of them. Why no variety? It was pretty clear that the approach wasn't working.
You'd normally have expected Griffiths to bury the good chance he had and Marciano to flog something but that never happened so luck wasn't with us, although i think Israel were worthy of their win.
