A point away from Home is something I would never complain about. Admittedly I didn't PPV, so another reason no to complain. However I admit having struggled to have much enjoyment watching the match tonight.

The lack of composure is startling. I thought St Mirren pressed quite well but still, we should be having a bigger say on that type of game. In fairness to the players, the composure is only have the issue. There are scarcely any good options for those on the ball to pass to. The majority want to launch 35 yard balls to Shankland.
Do they panic or is our game plan to get the ball up field quickly and we’re executing it poorly?
You could hear Mellon shouting who wants it and get across etc. These are basics. Why aren’t we doing that anyway?

Not sure how that gane wasn't finished after 60 minutes.
The referee must be able to see the entire area of the pitch - I'd be surprised if the linesman could make an offside call and be confident it was correct in that.
As for the game - poor show. Its difficult because I can see both side.
On one hand, grinding out results is going to keep us in the league and with that comes a level of financial security (imagine we were to go down this season with the levels of debt we are dealing with currently).... however, the defensive style is ruining shankland and I have no doubt any potential fee for him is lessening by the game. Secondly, its meant to be entertainment and as much as we fans will say it was shite but im supporting the team.... its going to wear off and fans are going to stop paying for the ppvs (our only source of income just now - and I guess even that isn't paying a lot).... to think we have shankland mcnulty and clark (has his issues but he can score)
Its going to be a long season. I guess success will be 10th or above unless we can find a balance between solidity and have more than 1 shot on target against St mirren (,they had 16 shots 0 on target - make of that what you will)

Didn't want to start a new topic, and can't seem to find an old one so going to drop this in here after watching him again last night.
Luke Bolton isn't very good and we'd be better off with McMullan. Discuss:

I thought he looked promising in his first 3 or 4 appearances, he then moved to RB and was ok but probably not as good as Smith, and since he’s been back to right wing/wing back he’s been very disappointing- arguably our poorest player in the last 4 games, last night he was terrible. He needs to be taken out the team - if we play 3-5-2 put Smith at wing back, if it’s a 4-4-2 give McMullan a chance on the wing.

The wing back thing has been a bit of a cop-out imo.
Good players still show their worth and ability in an amended role. And it's only a slightly amended role anyway.
Winger/wing back. Potato/po-tato.
The boy has been poor since late August.
McMullan, i'm not overly sold on either (at this level). But he deserves a chance.

99% agree with all of the above. Re success 10th & above, think we'll end up higher but we're making very hard work of it on that showing.
Chalmers to come back Fuchs & McNulty to contribute & most of all play the basics - it'll get better.
