very disappointing under the circumstances that the club have still not released any sort of statement from Ogren or Asghar via the official website and social media platforms!
Ogrens statement on the tully website last night should have been released on the official site before there.
I know the club and fans have got more important things to worry about just now but there was a supporters liaison group over 2 weeks ago now and there are still no minutes or even an overview of what was said from either the club or the Foundation (despite both promising over a week ago that something would be put out) or any other fans group present as far as I am aware. Anecdotally, I heard that the main topic of conversation in a 2.5 hour meeting was the clubs dreadful communication.
It is beyond parody.
The federation sent an email out to all member clubs on the 21st October with details of meeting.
Fans united also released info to members on their facebook page 5 days ago.
A lot of things were discussed and i wouldn't say the main topic was the dreadful comma however it was discussed.
Nowt from the Foundation.

Been asking for communication for months and finally we have it. The naivety shown is unreal. We should of planned for worse case in the first instance, not financially plan for a 'maybe have supporters in by October' - a good, proper business plans for worse case in every situation.
Also seems Orgren has been hit by Covid, like every other businessmen in the world. The accounts this year and next won't make for good reading either.
Still can't get over at the lack of incompetence planning for fans in October. WOW, did they ignore the experts about 2nd wave.... Surely 4 weeks ago signing the new players they would of thought 'maybe no have fans in the ground'......
Do the club have a financial director? If so, should be sacked. Only professional club to financially plan for fans to be in the stadium and have no plan b. The whole club is backed on plan that was NEVER going to happen. That is financial mismanagement.WOW
If you're going to come on here and be all sanctimonious and "I told you so", it would be better if you sorted out your basic English.
I agree it does seem a strange football fan who is much more interested in the finances than the football, but each to their own and he does have a point even if his English isn't perfect! There is a tone of sanctimonious about him, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here - he is right after all. We don't seem to be doing very well in the running of the business at the moment. Now is not the time to have impostors at the helm.
I apologise about the poor English, I was on phone when typing. Not like me. I do enjoy economics, many years in it. I'm a boring old git!

I did, they said it was not an 'official' meeting and had not taken notes but would put sone sort of recap up. They then said the club were putting minutes up but neither have appeared.

Interview in online courier with Mellon re wage cuts. I can’t view it but would be grateful if someone could copy and paste.

Micky Mellon insists there are “no big dramas” at Dundee United despite the Tayside club being set to implement cost-cutting measures. The lack of crowds this season due to the coronavirus crisis has had a severe impact at United, with owner Mark Ogren saying the cut-back programme “could get messy”.
Players and coaches have been asked to take a 20 per cent pay cut, but the United boss said: “I don’t know anything about the cuts, about the percentages yet, we are in discussions as a group, football employees.”
However, Mellon insists players and management will deal with the situation in the context of a pandemic. He said: “Not just football is suffering, everyone in the world is suffering.“So we’re well aware of that, we are not immune to that.“So to be dealing with this is probably no massive surprise because there’s no crowds and no income for these football clubs.“What I’ve always said is we have a group of players, a management staff and a staff at Tannadice that understand that.“We are in discussions to come to a place where we can help the football club move through these times and it’s as simple as that.“There’s no big dramas here, there’s nothing that’s worrying me about the situation other than we just want to get to a place where we can only concentrate on the football and get on with things.”Mellon believes that financial problems had been in the making for “weeks and months.”He said: “Football is all about fans, it revolves around fans coming to games.“Common sense tells you the longer the fans stayed away, the less money is coming into football clubs, the more difficult it was going to become and there was going to have to be a give somewhere.“We are adult about that, we understand that.“We will do what is necessary in order to try and keep the football club moving forward until we get through this pandemic.”Asked if the club had over-reached with recent new recruits – loan signings Luke Bolton (Manchester City) and Marc McNulty (Reading) and new boys Jeando Fuchs and Ryan Edwards – and were living beyond their means, Mellon said: “No, I think we have only brought two loan players, two young lads, probably two permanents.“I think it has cut its cloth accordingly, sensibly. Without doubt we would be able to say that.

Very good comments from Mickey there imo.

Agree, exactly what you would want him to say. I can't blame the players for being upset - any employee would be. Just hope they come round to that way of thinking soon, if they haven't already.

whole situation is a fucking disgrace. Destroying all meaningful life for what equates to sunk cost when its all said and done. Now enveloping my fucking club.
Dont know how folk will wash off the shame when its all said and done. Or do people take time to reflect anymore. Society of self absorbed motherfuckers plugging our suggestable minds into social media none fucking stop.
Is there anything those of us overseas can do? is there a fund going or what?

"is there a fund going or what?"
yeah, I'm starting a campaign called "Footballers wages for Carers". going to e-mail Sir Markus of Rashford, see what he thinks.

Sorry, RRDH.
But a lot of that made no sense (to me).
As far as a crowdfunder goes. If we set one up on the basis that any funds only go to the recruitment of a new player/s in January window, then i'm IN.

Yes RRDH, if it's the Bahamas, stay.
I do hear you tho, I think. The 'shame' aspect particularly.

Apologies on this one. I'd had a few too many at the end of a bad week.
I THINK what im trying to say is something about overcooking the response to the pandemic and brought it back to United but reading it back I cant honestly be sure. Wont happen again.
