And miss the Arbroath match?
I'm starting to suspect he won't be. His goals have dried up and Leigh Griffiths is back scoring.

Hopefully not, as you say with Griffiths back scoring would Shankland be involved? We really cant afford to lose him for that game and potentially the QOTS match (if Scotland were to win against Israel they play couple days before that match). I had totally forgot about this situation.

I'd say he'd be 4th choice at best behind.
Griffiths
Naismith
McBurnie
But if we even call up 4 Strikers i think Stevie Clarke might call-up Eamonn Brophy from Killie or the boy McNulty from Hibs.

I think he will and he’ll sit on the bench all night. If that is the case I can’t see any reason why he can’t play cs Arbroath.

If Scotland beat Israel their next game is on the Tuesday or Wednesday. He wouldn't be allowed to leave the squad to play for us to then join them again.

We won’t beat Israel. At least I don’t think we will, but yes if we win then he’d miss the game.

Sure someone said that on here, don’t think it’s true tho, seen plenty players over the years head back and play next day.

Can't see it the chances for him totally died up, weve not created one single chance for him in the last two matches.
The Thumb, McBurnie, Fletcher and Naismith will all be selected ahead of him.

Don't think Stevie Fletcher has had a cap in a couple of years.
Just googled his form this season. 13 goals in 36. Not too bad for the English Championship.

He struggles with injuries I am sure but has not retired, he will no doubt be selected as he's decent at playing up front by himself.
Shankland might get a game at the back though, some of the centre half's give you the fear.

Hoping he does get a call up. There is no chance of him hanging around Tannadice next season if he doesn't.

Scotland U21 squad is announced tomorrow.. Another possibility is Appere being selected.

Stevie Clarke making a late move to get Lyndon Dykes to commit his future to Scotland apparently.
If he gets him I think he would get called up before Shankland as well.

Funny how things have changed since March.
Shankland now ahead of 5 of the Strikers i mentioned in the pecking order. And Lyndon Dykes ahead of the lot.

I'd like to see Shankland and Dykes start up top Thursday.
