Seriously, wtf is going on? One of the worst signings in recent history.

Sows inability to stay fit and the salary he was on is clouding some judgement on the here and now. He is a decent player with a good touch and a bit of composure. I would rather see Sow upfront than Clark or Apperre

I tend to agree Beharder.
There's absolutely nothing to lose.
It's costing nothing & if he's got a conscience we're quids in.
Might be singing his praises by Xmas.

I'm siding with this comment, although I doubt Sow is in the squad with a view to signing for United again, more as a gesture which shows the club in a favourable light in football circles.
Being optimistic about it, perhaps he'll have become healed and fully fit, as the long lay off seemed to benefit Pawlett's hardiness and athleticism.
It's a bounce game, hardly worth getting excited about anyway.

Linked with a move to Chennaiyin FC. Laszlos new club.

If he comes in on some kind of very low basic, big bonus / pay as you play sort of contract I have no issue with a short term deal (maybe even just until Xmas).
Think Pats more likely to be on the money here, just playing the boy to give the club a bit of goodwill.

If he signs were fucked.
I think there might be a wee bit more to it than just giving the boy a game for the sake of it.
'Osman, do you fancy a game, if you don't we can give Laurence a run-out, it's up to you....?'
We're sitting on 7 points out of 21. The boy's on trial. And it's a free hit for us.

He was brutal even when fit imo. Slower than a week in jail and powderpuff.
Cannae believe you would have him ahead of Clark who has 24 goals for Utd in 46 starts.

Anthony Stokes leaving Livi already cause he doesn’t want to train on a plastic pitch.
Are things desperate enough that we’d consider taking him?

Micky Micky Micky ???
" We are Dundee United."
+ Tony + Mr Ogren
- Put your money where your mouths are.
We're sliding.
Back your investment.
We should and do deserve to be aiming way higher .
One reason for example, season tickets sales. We're a league in front of Livi, the two Saints, Ross County, Killie, Motherwell, Haccies.
We're just out o' a league where we got dragged down to the shitey level.
Lets not set our sights on emulating other shitey teams in Premier League

We do need physical presence, we don't need journeymen.
We need talent and physical presence.
Both. Every team needs a blend. Youth, physicality, rock solid at the back, good mid, good poachers, positivity.
(Dinnae mean tae state the obvious lads. But ye've to go back to JYM + to lesser extent Levien/Houstie days to see the application o' the blindingly simple week in week out, season in season out hence the managerial merry go round which has plagued us since)
We're a lot further down the track wi' Micky but a long way from the finished article.
We need get near the finished article and we need it yesterday. Covid, Hearts etc - that's ancient history, we're 7 games into season, goal diff MINUS 8
Don't know what's taking so long in terms of signings.
We are Dundee United - love the attitude.
Sow - ffs !!!!!!
Contradiction in terms

It’s no though is it, why on earth would we waste a wage even if it was pay per play on a guy who scored one goal for us and canna stay fit, like what is the actually the point?
We need someone to come in and give us a lift and hopefully score goals

No not kidding, I don't get involved in all the hyperbole I just judge players on what I see in front of me.
The levels Sow reached at Hearts are way beyond what Clark is capable of.
If MM gets the strikers he wants I would not be surprised to see Clark back in the Championship where his lack of pace is not exposed as much.
However due to Sow fitness issues none of the above really applies.

Stokes obviously unaware of Livi's pitch when he signed!!!!!!
He's a bampot and should be no where near us ever.......

Best of luck FH, maybe he can get some of his Kosovan diaspora singing stars to Tannadice...
Can you post Dua Lipa as well, also British Kosovan, and a much better singer, and also pretty fit?
I wouldn't rule anyone out.
A gamble can pay off.

To say we need a player like Stokes at his peak i.e. someone who can create a chance for himself and take it as well as finish off moves, is close to the truth. To say we should consider him at this stage of his career after this Livi carry on is wide of the mark.
Nearly all of the evidence points to Sow being unable/unwilling to regain his Hearts form of many years ago. He's had the spell with us, the loan at Killie and subsequent return to us with very limited success. It's not a route I would like us to go down. I don't think we will fwiw.
Between Sow & Stokes maybe one would work?
But Stokes is wide of the mark, he probably wants to blow up Tannadice or something, whereas Sow will be strutting his stuff v the Rovers today/tmrw/whenever.

Stokes - trouble and way past his best
Sow - God no. Had more than his chance - was neither composed or fit for any length of time. If this is where our season is, we should give up now
