Do the players actually miss playing in front of the fans?

Got thinking about this tonight when my mate pointed out to me that not one player or Manager has really came out and said they miss the fans or it's not the same without them there. Not unprompted anyway.

No player i can think of has came out on Twitter or the like and said 'that was for the fans', 'it's not the same without our fans here' etc.

I suppose for some it might actually be a lot easier just getting on with their job without the abuse entailed from the terraces or pressure of all eyes on them when on the ball.

Particularly for younger players.

I think the players will tbh or at least the majority will.  It all just seems a bit flat without the supporters in.  Would imagine most of these guys grew up dreaming about scoring in front of thousands not scoring in front of a few flags and cardboard cut-outs.

I’ve watched a little cricket and snooker in the last couple of weeks aswell and it’s the same with any pro sport I think, all just feels flat.

Did you see O'Sullivan destroying Selby in the last three frames, he was toying with him. Definitely the GOAT & he doesn't half take the piss, his post-match interview was a howl. Couple of nights ago he was being interviewed by a female who asked him about getting into the semi. 'Oh yeah, I love a semi', he replied! He's bonkers but a genius.

Initial response would have been of course  !

But thinking about it, Pawlett for one would be an established boo boy by now which does nobody any good.
Great to hear Mickey on sideline.

However if players say they prefer crowds you'D have to take it as read.

Weird & flat watching on DUTV
