It's potentially in support of dementia charities such as Alzheimer Scotland (purple and pink being that charity's colours). Maybe one of our change jerseys will be similar colours.

Was told earlier the away strip is definitely purple.

I'm thinking that 'cammo' will be the away strip. Why else would it be on the trackie top. Controversial if nothing else.

I wouldn't say most tbh TEK.
This must be the Macron design for this season as just had a look online and Hibs have it also but not this colourway its grey which. Motherwell have it also. The design is on polos and t-shirts also.

Defo not keen but each to their own.
It will be interesting to see what commercial impact the strips have after the success of last years.
The home top (to me) is bog standard united - had I asked my niece to draw a united kit - thats what she would have drawn.
The away is still a guess but purple is going to be a hard sell (if that is to be believed) and if its the pattern on the hoodie then it will be the marmite of football straps...either loved of hated.
Either way its starting to get about wearing how ill prepared we are for the season. 9 days to go and we have not started selling our home shirts and the away shirt is seemingly forgotten about. It may sound petty but in these hard times, id imagine selling a few thousand shirts at 50 quid a pop would help matters.
Even the release was a massive dissapointment. Leaked on sky and a half arsed press release from us.
I guess folk are still furloughed but I wonder if ifs all going south since we punted big malky and didn't replace him...is David Southern available?

Agree with all of this sadly (In the sense that I wish it weren't true). Whilst much of the circumstances are beyond our control the club really feels like a rudderless ship at the moment and has done since Brannigan was punted. There was an article that said decision making was being done collectively by thon Laura Sports Law, the financial guy (Derek Bond?), Asghar, Dorward and Jimmy Fyffe. Decision making by committee at a time when face to face communication is limited really appears inefficient and time consuming if you ask me. I'll wager that everything is now going through Mark or Scott Ogren too after the Foundation press release debacle.

Don't want to take over the thread but why aren't we getting told to buy a cardboard cutout to help the club? I've seen literally 1 post from united about them. Even if they get half of the 25 quid, it would be worth it (online ordering means v little input for united) . Mon united - finger oot

Whatever the structural issues you can't say, by any stretch of the imagination, that we are making best use of commercial opportunities. At a time where there is a tight budget but you also have fans desperate to spend money with the club that is frankly unforgivable. The stewardship of our football club seems to be being badly handled and that is a worry.

Totally agree.
We have fans who are literally wanting to hand money over to the club and yet the club are dragging their heels over everything that can make the club serious money.
And i'm not talking about the type of money that selling a few garden gnomes will take in.

It’s on the main club website just now

I'm maybe alone but I only look at the website if I'm looking for info. Its surely got to be advertised. Think only on facebook - 52460 people like dundee united. If it had 1 post a week, I dont see harm in it. Post about it. Say it will help the club. Show the pictures of ones which are up (if they are?). Even if 1% of the 52460 people bought one then thats 13 grand (minus costs).
Equally with last seasons strips - advertise that its reduced. I bought a strip from malaga once and still get emails with deals. What is it? 10 or 15 quid? Post it. Say 15 or 20 with champions 20 on the back. There is so many missed chances.

Think you're spot on Tangy. I'd love to see us leading the way in marketing the club and increasing revenue all the time never mind current times when some revenue streams are temporarily closed due to Covid.
Are the media dept running on low staff due to still having some furloughed?

Both dundee strips are on sale. Same manufacturer as us.

I noticed yesterday that the Hibs and Motherwell home and away kit are available for pre order just now but the new training range was all available now.
Still no update when we are actually going to reveal the away kit..

A side note and maybe something small but im not as big a fan of the stick on plastic badge - rather its more like last seasons....an actual badge sewn on
