Took a while.
Would prefer to have seen them pictured with it at Tannadice but no worry.

Struggling to recognise some of the players there: when did we sign Owen Wilson?

And Sieb Dijkstra

As great as that is to see... surely this picture is a sneaky one that shouldnt have been taken? Surely the club will make more of a big deal that we finally got the trophy? Because there has been zero recognition of this happening on any Utd related pages. Hoping they put up something pretty special today.

I'd have liked to have seen this streamed live on Arabzone (or either Facebook, Twitter or YouTube) with a wee bit of build-up beforehand on both the website and social media. It's not even as if they needed to say where they were getting presented with it if they were worried about crowds of people turning up.
Yet another opportunity missed by Arabzone

To be fair LAO there is a few pics doing the round and you can see camera in the pic so imagine there will be some sort of footage. These pics have sadly been leaked before the clubs footage released.

That's true but personally, I would have preferred to see the lifting of the trophy live streamed rather than in an edited video days later, no doubt with awful music playing over the top of it. An edited video with player interviews etc could have been released then next day too. Arabzone should be FIRST for all club content. At the moment it seems to be LAST for it. I honestly think the service is worse than it was 10 years ago when it was a separate website. It's became really lazy, it doesn't dovetail with the social media channels and it keeps missing obvious opportunities to get content out that would get people (who are paying about 1/3 of the cost of a full TV licence) excited. Last night was yet another open goal missed.
They were rightly praised for the reveals of Shankland and the new strips last season but seem to have reverted back to type since then. Maybe it is the furlough situation that's been a hindrance this Spring/Summer which is fair enough but people are currently still being charged for very little output. Although, it was poor/minimal last season too so little has really changed. It's my understanding that plenty of Utd supporters have made suggestions about content and how the service could be improved (offering media students the chance to help out) in the past and have been largely ignored.

The players have been back for 4 weeks now. We've had an interview with Mark Connolly and a zoom recording with Ian Harkes after his contract extension. 1 or 2 videos of the players running about. So uninspiring and I think if they talked to a handful of fans for 5 mins about what they expect from Arabzone then they would know what needs improved.
We've got a bunch of academy boys training with the first team: interview 1 a week and ask how its going? Its not hard surely.
We've had more club content from the Dode Fox podcast this summer than from Dundee United and I cant get my head round the reasons for this.

Possibly. But how does that explain the output being weak before Covid hit?

No being funny but how many excuses do we make for Utd's media department before we admit that they're really just no very good?
My wee team EKFC are only a Lowland League side and their media outlet has given more coverage of their club this past week (player photos, interviews, signing teasers etc).

I actually thought the media output was improving the 3-4 months before the pandemic hit. But yes, since the players have been back it has been quite poor - perhaps folk still in furlough not helping though?

Our media team have never been great to be honest. Motherwell are fantastic!

Wonder what our owners think of it as I expect it's their main visual link to the club.! Pretty piss poor I would imagine.! Hopefully things improve soon.

Compare Uniteds to many other in Scotland and we are miles behinds.
I brought this up years back, before we got relegated how bad it was and the thing that had changed is the amount of people working for arabzone. People are paying £5 per month for a piss poor service and nobody seems to give a fuck about it, I have watched utd play teams allover Scotland online when offshore and every stream has been far superior to ours. embarrassing for such a big club,

Here i totally agree Arabzone is pathetic imo compared to other spfl clubs we are miles behind them, especially with the amount of people we have signed up this season and they will end up with a poor service for their cash. The correspondence with the fan base during the close season has also been pathetic .

We need to be leading the way media style with our size and ambition.
I've paid for Arabzone for years and been a mix of OK to embarrassed with the overall thing.
The same folk have an influence on our overall media/social media I expect.
We have to be better at this.
