Be aswel starting this one now with the news this evening that Stephen O’Donnell has departed Killie. We were linked with a move for him not that long ago..

I really hope we are in for him. Him and Smith would make right back a very strong position for us. Both can also cover left back and have done in the past. What would that mean for Freeman though?

The Rangers have released Jason Holt.
Would anyone take him?

Not sure. He's not exactly set the heather on fire in his career so far imo

I would have said yes a year ago but he actually lost his place in the St Johnstone team in the second half of last season.

Tbh, I'll be surprised if clubs (including us) make many signings at all. The economic effects of this crisis will be devastating. I can see clubs cutting their squads back to the bare minimim by letting players go and not replacing them.

All contracts ripped up and probably those that are kept will be offered pay-as-you-play.

It was Alloa (A), he was hopelessly out of position.
He allowed their winger to float in behind him, pie from the pie hut, take a bite, then lay the ball on a plate for their centre. Only one mistake maybe but it was costly, 1-0.
But on the evidence of that alone he is a better right back.

I'm not saying he should play left back, but he is capable of playing there in an emergency. Whether he played badly or not. He also played left back in the 6-0 Morton game.

I really think we should be looking at that O’Brien from Arbroath, I’d go as far to say he was the best centre half by quite a bit in the championship I seen last season, no clue what his situation with work is, could be same situ as Rory Mcallister was but never no

I agree, the boy was decent.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that he’s a chartered surveyor, might be wrong on that, but if it’s true, I can’t see him in his late 20’s jumping ship for a couple years of full time football.
I agree though, that he’s been one of the standout players in the league this season.

The boy O’Donnell doesn’t look like he’ll be heading our way. Says he’d like another crack at it down south.
No that fussed about this tbh, RB’s pretty far down the priority list as far as I’m concerned. Think it would be harsh on Smith to deny him the chance to prove himself in the Premiership given that he was arguably our most consistent performer last season.

Given Nicky Clarks influence on our squad, one player, entire out of left field, that I'd like to see us go for is Krzysztof Drzazga (yes I did spell check that).
Plays for Wisła Kraków, he plays a similar role but is usually disregarded by fans and coaching staff. Given Wisła's financial difficulties and the good strength of the pound vs polish Zloty could be someone to get on the cheap.
I look forward to some incredibly lazy journalist running with this with the words 'sensational swoop'.

You come over as an incredibly BUSY journalist Morphman!
I'm wondering where you get your swoops from.
Let's hope big Tony reads your post.
You've even eased the financial burden for him as well.
Tho I'll be checking the exchange rate tomorrow!

I'll go one further, according to transfer market he is out of contract in June. Not sure of the accuracy of that but would mean he could be had on a free
Pull the trigger on this Tony and we'll place Morphys scouting up against McNamara and Co's
