Dundee United Question of the Day #7

What is unique about this game (in a United sense)?

Not sure if this makes it unique but it says Saturday afternoon on the programme I'm sure this was a night match, Pettigrew under the lights and the Dees get 2 or 3 sent off can't remember, Hegarty is a cheat apparently, Fuckin muppets

That isn't the answer i'm looking for Beharder.

But you are right. The game was actually on a Wednesday night. So take a point for good attention to detail.👍

And there is still a point to play for if someone can give me the other answer.

How about then we knocked Dundee out of both cups in the same calendar year.
I Reckon I'm wrong again but always worth repeating  that stat

Re: Dundee United Question of the Day #7

Total guess. Did we play in our change kit despite being at home?

Re: Dundee United Question of the Day #7

Maybe the first time a United player had scored 4 goals in a Scottish Cup tie? Willie P?

Over 40 years ago too: where has time gone?

That may well be the case (i'm not sure tbh), but not quite the answer i'm looking for.

Very close though.

Nope. Dossing had scored one at Dens in '65.

First player for United (possibly only one) to score four against the fun?

Correct.

1 point to GiT.

Willie Pettigrew was indeed the first (and so far only) Utd player to score 4 goals against Dundee.
