Premiership B Teams

Putting this here to see opinions, given the lack of actual football presently.

Whether true, and I take it with my usual cynicism, a story is doing the rounds that Sevco are approaching lower league clubs offering incentives if they vote for the inclusion of B sides/colt teams/reserves in a reconstructed league system. There are 4 scheduled video conferences for four Scottish leagues on Wednesday, maybe opinions will be formed and decisions taken at that time.

A few points from that:

1) I hope it doesn't happen. If it does, I'm finished with Scottish football.

2) If it comes about, I'd like to think United wouldn't be involved, but no matter, no more cash from me for the game up here.

3) Where are Sevco getting the cash to offer inducements? They are in financial meltdown, and owing to several companies following court cases they have lost.

4) At a difficult time for all football clubs, and with the lower league sides getting a very poor percentage of the recent emergency payments from Scottish football authorities, the behaviour of the present Ibrox representatives never fails to live up to expectations. Taking advantage of a worldwide pandemic to attempt to enhance their own situation is reprehensible.

Quote: "CRAIG Mulholland, the head of the Rangers youth academy, has revealed the Ibrox club have been lobbying behind the scenes for Ladbrokes Premiership reserve teams to be introduced to the senior set-up in Scotland this season and described the ground-breaking move as “a no brainer”.

Re: Premiership B Teams

It shouldn’t happen.  That’s my opinion on it.

There is no footballing benefit to it, except to the clubs allowed to do it.
There is no financial benefit to it for the clubs.  OF fans aren’t gonna flock in their thousands to watch the u20’s.

Re: Premiership B Teams

Time for a breakaway league with equal voting rights.
I wouldn't be concerned if the terrors never played Rangers 2012 or Celtic again
