14 flight SPL Top flight with Utd and Caley promoted and Hearts not relegated.
Top 6/Bottom 6 scrapped and instead the league split after 26 games into a top 8 fighting for Europe and title and (get this).
A bottom 8 fighting out relegation and the 'SPL 2 Trophy'. After being joined by the top 2 (at that point) in the Championship. At which point they would ALL start out with the same points.
Good fucking grief. It'll probably never see the light of day, of course.
But the very fact the SPFL are floating shit like this worries me. Why brainstorm such a clusterfuck at all?
Here's how we (Scottish football) should proceed.
Finish the FUCKING Season/s. No matter how long it takes. Even if we don't resume till July.
If we have to scrap the Betfred, so be it. If we have to scrap the SPL winter break, so be it. If we have to cram in more midweek games into the calendar, so be it.
But let's do things the proper way please. Let's not fuck any team over. Let's not reward any team for failure.
Let the 'winners' be winners and the 'losers' be losers. It is the only forward.

If UEFA get their way & it’s a June 30th finish, we could go Sat - Tue from the 6th to the 30th and be done.
I know other things need to happen first but if the players are allowed to train from 2 weeks before (Mon 25th May) that may be the date to ‘aim for’

I think the Betfred should be turned in to a straight knockout tournament if the league is extended this season. All in, no seedings, other than those playing in Europe who can join in the next round. Play these games midweek, could still be over by November /December and have the final around Christmas time.
Other than that, I totally agree with your post.

That’s never gonna happen. Clubs, including ours btw, will not survive months without cash. They’re wanting a decision made pronto so that prize money, TV revenue, advances on next season’s payments, can be dished out. Extending the season as nauseam will put many clubs to the wall.
It’s fine saying “finish the season” if you live in a fantasy world where clubs run on fresh air, but in the real world, this approach would send most, of not all Scottish football clubs into
extinction.
A decision must be made in the very near future so that club’s have a bit of certainty and can makes decisions accordingly instead of running about with their heads in the sand waiting for the season to resume.

Think, as b&t said yesterday, 'anything can happen'. The season may well get finished at some point.
But regarding payouts, the SFA made a £1.5 million sum available last week to the clubs, while the SPFL advanced money normally distributed in April in the middle of this week past.
The vast percentage of that cash went to Celtic (they really need it don't they?) and The Rangers (they really do need it, but it's not enough).
You'll know I've an interest in Stenhousemuir FC, so as a comparison, while Celtic and The Rangers got over £400,000 each from the SPFL, the Warriors got £2100 VAT inclusive.
I'm not sure how the £1.5 million from the SFA was broken down, but Stenhousemuir got £8,000. That's 0.534% I reckon, of the £1.5 million.
United's sum awarded by the SPFL was £31,800, if the figures in the media are correct. It's not a lot, is it?

What’s the government pay out, 80% of £2500 a month?
That’ll cover League 2, vast majority of League 1 (few Falkirk players aside), a lot of the Championship and even a couple of Prem clubs...?

Celtic could play a big part in saving lower league clubs.
Their prize money is say 2 million pounds. If they agreed to delay even half that amount for a season, that money spread out between the lower league teams could keep them afloat.
What is 1 million pounds to Celtic?

No being funny but the kudos and absolute GIRFUY to the other (struggling) ugly sister would make it more than worth while for the other half of the bigot brothers.

It’ll be a very small haggling point in the upcoming Edouard sale

And so easy to just hold that money back for a year and give them it on top of whatever prize monies they win next season.
The SKY deal means that next season that money could be made up no problem at all. Celtic could get their 1 million back with their cut of what the other clubs got as a 'crisis donation' or whatever you want to call it.
Would mean all clubs saved, could re-start season in June/July and fairplay and integrity of the game is upheld.
It'll never happen, therefore.

And they could hang on to their self given title of saviours of our game.
Win win

Agree with this. This clamour to see the season finished baffles me. The season is finished.
Start a new season as soon as its feasible.
