The '94 Cup Final on tonight
Join us for tonight's classic Scottish Cup final, as Rangers take on Dundee United in the 1994 Scottish Cup final.
William Hill Scottish Cup channel on you tube 19:45 also on their facebook page, seemingly as live.
Will hopefully be able to enjoy this 90 minutes more than when I was at the match, it will be the first time I've watched the whole game again, should be an interesting experience, I think I went through at least 2 packs o' Embassy Regal, no such comfort these days as gave up 16 years ago.
Anyways just incase anybody didn't know I thought I'd give it a bump

I was getting bits of the 1st half but caught the whole of the 2nd. Thoroughly enjoyed watcying it again. Not seen the game since watching The Goal and The Glory years ago.
Crazy how watching it after so long, you still get nervous that they are going to get a penalty!

When Nixon came on his pace gave us an outlet, and although Rangers were trying to pile on the pressure they found it difficult coping with him too. That one incident close to the end where Nixon was fouled by Ferguson and quite a few players from the Ibrox side had a go at him, I mind going off my head at that at the match. Seeing it again, it was mostly frustration all round from the players, and Nixon was no angel in the incident either.
And we won 1-0 again on that video (hope I'm not spoiling it for anyone who hasn't watched).

See going by Nixon's reaction it wouldn't surprise me if something racist was said.
He looked furious. Also Mikhailetchenko should have been sent off for raising his hands.
On Nixon he could have scored with his 1st touch if Brewster had squared him in.

I’m certain Nixon said in the papers a couple of days later that Ian Ferguson did racially abuse him.

Correct. When Brewster shot straight at Maxwell, I had a flashback to the 88 cup final and Bannon's header, and thought it would cost us.
