I was confident we had enough to beat teams like Arbroath and Morton at Tannadice not to long ago also.

 
I'm sure Rangers were confident of beating Hamilton at home. I'm sure Liverpool were confident of beating Watford away. I'm sure Celtic were confident of beating Livi away. I'm sure Real Madrid were confident of beating Levante away.

Football is a game and sometimes things dont go the way you expect it.

We've only lost 1 game at home all season. We have every right to be confident about a home game against the team at the bottom of the league but at every level of football, underdogs win now and again. It shouldnt be a surprise.

I dont give a shit about the other teams you have mentioned tbh but i am confident about a home and especially 1 against the team bottom of the pile.

Arbroath and Morton both came to Tannadice knowing a draw would be a good result but Partick need the 3 points so hopefully a more open game which should suit Utd.
