Top V bottom at tannadice on Saturday and with out form of late a big improvement needed.
McMullan off with a knock last night and not sure if he will make the starting 11 on Saturday. If he doesnt no doubt Robbies love child Pawlett will be thrown in.
Hopefully Butcher is back for this as i am not seeing much from the Powers/Harkes partnership.
I would start Sporle left wing. With Robson back in at left back.
Butcher Harkes in the middle with Appere and Shankland up top.

If McMullan injured, to get the best out of every player in our squad and due to the fact we have been very un-creative in the last few games I would mix things up and go 3 at the back.
Benji
Watson
Connolly
Reynolds
Smith
Harkes
Butcher
Glass
Robson
Appere
Shankland
Subs: Deniz, Sporle, Powers, Pawlett, Bingham, youngsters x2

Cannae guess what the line up will be, but even if the selection looks like some of the players have photos of Robbie in flagrante delicto with one of Stephen Thompson's cast offs, it should still be enough to take care of Thistle at home.
Online!
Benji
Smith Watson Connolly robson
Mcmullan butcher harkes sporle
Appere shankland.

McMullan confirmed as fit to play Sat.
4231 with McMullan, Glass and Appere behind Shankland surely?
Any word on Butcher??

Why?
Most of our best performances and results this season have came playing 442.
Get Appere back up front beside Shankland and get Glass in behind them in CM, McMullan and Sporle wide and get the ball forward.

Think TheShed has a good point. Plus speed it the fuck up all over at every fkn part. Be rapid.
The way we play with predictable tactics can work better if we speed the fuck up.

It’s funny how folk moan about 4231, but in these threads often pick 4231

I'm not a huge fan of the formation personally.
But given our lack of personel, i think it may suit us best.

It has its flaws but if people are crying out for players like Mochrie/Glass to get a game then its the formation we'd have to play to get anything out of them.
Whether people like it or not, our best run of results this season came playing a 4231. I know Clark stayed close to Shankland a lot of the time but he played as a ten and linked the midfield to front. Most of the time its not about the formation, its about the players within that formation.

Just noticed theres no Cash Gate or Ticket Booth at tomorrow's match.
Musta been put up on the Club Website a couple days ago.
Must be expecting a bumper crowd.

Our best results were with Appere up top with Shankland or Clark up top with Shankland, it wasn’t 4231.

Realise that aboot the Cash Gate bowers. Was just a wee bit surprised aboot the Ticket Booth. Having had a look, there's no a lot oe seats left in the middle of the GF Lower, just the bottom end. Got family up fae doon south this weekend, who were gonna try and go to the gehm, but they'd be sitting miles away fae me on their todd.

When Clark played, our formation was still 4231. Appere played up front with Shanks only a couple of times. And even then, his instruction was to drift out to the left and Clark drift into the 10 position from outwide. Still a 4231 in essence.

Aye well Bowers. Did think aboot that. Don't know if you've had a look yersell bowers.
There seems to be a good few at the Shed end and the ET end of the GF, but only a few doon near the bottom in the middle section.

I would do that. There is always a shit load spare at those ends.

He certainly is stubborn with his selections.
I hope we get a great result and this lineup really clocks, but that is because I want results more than I care about having my ego wounded.
Can RN say the same?
I expect any of 1:0, 0:1, 1:1. There are 11 guys out there who can prove me wrong though... Actually 9,csnt expect Benji to score and another Shankland hattrick proves nothing about the others
