Just read the report on the Fishal. Brian Grant was apologising for fielding such a strong team with the U/18 still in Spain (jammy bar stewards!). But sounds like it's done us no harm. Wardrop got an hour (brilliant to see Sam back, a year out, well done Sam), Sow & Pawlett each got the 1st half. Cammy got 90 mins and got goals & assists. Freeman got the whole game as did Mochrie & King. Davidson & Graham might be a central defence we'll hear much more of.
The future is TANGERINE

No need for him to apologise imo. Some game time into the legs of boys who need it. Presumably Robbie has decided Cammy Smith has a role to play with Clark out? I’ve been critical of him but great chance to prove his worth over the next 6 month.

Why is he apologising? Yesterday and other reserve game are a perfect opportunity for boys like Smith Sow Pawlett Wardrop to get much needed game time.

The Reserves are back in action tomorrow against Dunfermline.
St.Andrews 2pm.
Be interesting to see if any trialists feature again.
And also if Cammy Smith plays (not on our bench again today).

The game date was first advertised as today on the Official Utd site.
But is now given as tomorrow at 1.30pm at Whitton Park.

Stick him beside Shankland on Saturday and see how he does?

Don't know about that (who would you leave out for one thing) but it is gonna be interesting the next time he comes off the bench which may be as soon as Saturday.
He was ready to come on on Sunday before Louis sent him back to splinter his erse.
He might, just might, end up being a valuable asset, who knows??

The Reserves are back in action at Whitton Park today against Hibs. Kick off is 1.30pm.
It'll be a young Utd side today i'd imagine.

I thought we may have seen 1 or 2 trialists playing for the reserves today...

Can Chalmers be recalled from his loan at any time or was this how we got the 3 point deduction in our relegation season?

Would depend on the loan agreement between Utd and Arbroath I'd say.
Just had a quick look on google and we were fined(suspended) and deducted points for fielding Ali Coote and having Robson on the bench as they returned to the club after the 31st March.

Still bugs me that affair in so many ways.
United fans knew the players weren't legible to play, some even contacted the club but the people who should have been responsible failed to react, their bigger failing being ignorance of the rules. And there were plenty at the club who failed in their duty on that occasion.
ST making a pledge to reimburse bus costs to fans: I don't think that ever happened.
The football authorities were a target for my anger too, yet they actually followed their rules. It was the fact they had chosen to ignore years of incorrect registrations with the old Ibrox club a few years before which got me. At least United weren't trying to be crafty, we were just stupid. The Govan mob were sleekit about it, and were rewarded with tainted trophies. Ben Johnson lost the 1988 Olympic 100m sprint gold, because he cheated. Lance Armstrong lost his major cycling triumphs, because he cheated.
Enough of that, it just makes me bitter

The admin lassie got hung oot to dry over that incident. People higher up were equally culpable.

Notice Dave Bowman has been back coaching the reserves. I thought he had stopped doing it.

The first team Manager should be aware of the rules, first and foremost.
As Pat said even some of the fans twigged. I certainly remember in that Inverness match thread one or two questioned Ali Coote's involvement.
