Out for rest of season

I feel for the guy.
He was once a very decent player. But his body just ain't up to it anymore. Can see him having to hang up his boots.
Unfortunately many of us predicted this weeks/months ago.
The decision to not boost the squad and instead gamble on him somehow being able to turn his Utd career around now looks a very foolish one.

Neilson's two 'marquee' signings last January have turned out to be an absolute disaster, on the pitch and in the pocket.
I'm normally against the manager not picking the players to sign but Neilson going after two players from previous clubs he has been at who were injured most of the time they were there (and also here) points the finger at the manager not making correct decisions for the club.

Had a good time at hearts and has struggled since unfortunately. Injury after injury. You seen he had good movement etc but his fitness has evidently been very poor.
Ah well he will be away come summer.
The amount of Utd fans that seen this coming is frightening yet the club failed to bring anyone in. Ridiculous from Neilson and Asghar.
Sow and Pawlett appear to have been the result of a desperate effort to get us up last season...January is never a great window.
That having been said it doesn't explain why Pawlett still gets a game...
...and nothing can explain Adam King

,,,nothing can explain Adam King not getting a game.
For all we know he might be quite good.
Need to see him first, playing 20 minutes a month is nothing to go by.

Nelson sees him everyday in training and never plays him.
Both Glass and Mochrie have come on before him. I'm sure RN knows he has made a mistake, no club gets every transfer right, move on I'm afraid he's shite.

Adam King is treated unfairly by the vast majority of our fans.
3 year deal for what looks like being a ‘squad’ signing is ludicrous, but let’s not tear him to shreds.
(this will be a long 10 days til the next game)

Ah, but do we know it was RN who signed him or was it a TA acquisition.

Its Neilson and Asghar who should be torn to shreds for giving him a 3 year deal.

'Torn to shreds'
Jeez. I ken as well as anybody that recent performances have been poor (I personally think the cup game / keeping motivation when we have no competition in the league are the biggest reasons) but i don't feel the need to tear anybody to shreds at tannadice just now - we are where we are - but:
we've made the most of it - 17 points clear by christmas (amazing),
a player, playing in the championship who is in the current scotland team,
an owner who, although he wants to make money, has done bucket loads to improve things round tannadice
a much better staff structure to help with the long term of the club
an elite level youth development system which will encourage the best kids on the east coast to come to us
stability
I've got to ask, bowers - realistically, what would make you happy with united?

Thread is going off on a bit of a tangent but on Adam King i think it is fair to ask what was the thinking behind that signing.
When he signed we already had 3 players who could play CM who were all ahead of him in the fight for a 1st team shirt. We now have Dillon Powers and Declan Glass back so he is now 5th choice for a Centre Mid position at best.
This is no criticism of the boy btw but to hand him a 3 year deal looks like it was just totally unecessary and a lazy signing. And it would have been a Neilson signing as he had him at Hearts.
Not sure why King wasn't sent out on loan ahead of Cammy Smith tbh. Maybe the club did try. He'll be away in the Summer i'd imagine.
Every club does make the odd bad signing btw. That is correct. But Neilson has clocked up a few already (Pawlett, Sow, Nesbitt, King).

I agree with the idea that some fans are failing to keep sight of the bigger picture here. As frustrating as the last couple of weeks have been, theres no reason to believe we wont go on another winning run and absolutely zero reason for us to be down or negative about the current situation of the club.
The real frustration is born from the fact that we are where we are when 5 or 6 years ago we appeared to be a club that was only going to get better and the reality is that we have spiraled into the worst few years in our recent history.
BUT
We are on the right track now to get back where we feel we belong!

I was taking part of MC post and adding my own opinion on the signing of Adam King.
At the moment i am happy overall with Utd still have my doubts on the manager and not too chuffed with how the January went overall especially taking into account Clarks injury.
The league is almost won as we all know with 13 to go would take 1 major fuck up not to win it with the position we are currently in points wise and that gives them breathing space from many.
