Shame for the guy but you have to think he is finished - some real deep injury problems that wont go away.  Did well to offload him for 6 months

Agreed although I'm hoping the injury doesn't mean he gets sent back to Tannadice.  He'd probably get better medical care at Killie!

I think there is a good player in there, but looks as if his injuries are also playing with his head - he's just not fully committed and needs to get over that as well as get fit.

A waste of space. At the first opportunity, bin him!

Would imagine the killie fans will be desperate for him to return ............ to us.

Had high hopes as many others when we signed him but its evident to all that he is finished.

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

Earlier this afternoon Osman Sow STARTED for Kilmarnock in their 2-2 away draw at Hibs.

Killie were apparently absolute garbage when he was on the park and instantly got better when he departed on the hour mark. They went on to score twice and salvage a good away point. Not looking good for big Osman in any capacity.

Our other loanee Declan Glass fared even worse. He was sent off for the first time in his career as his loanee club Cove Rangers were shockingly hammered 6-1 away to Annan Athletic.

A sobering afternoon for the league two leaders who are all of a sudden looking catchable after their blistering start to life in professional football.

Matty Smith did not feature for Cove.

Osman Sow was an unused substitute for Kilmarnock today as his loan club were defeated 0-1 at home to Motherwell.

Declan Glass played the full 90 minutes for Cove Rangers as they registered a 1-3 away at Hampden against Queens Park.

Matty Smith was not in the Cove squad. Presumably injured.

Smith still  injured I think. Was on the weights at 2.45 according to his Instagram.

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

In his last game for Cove Rangers before returning to Utd, Declan Glass scored the opening goal for his loanee club in their 2-0 home win against Elgin City, earlier on today.

Glass was subbed off in the 89th minute. Presumably to let him get an applause from their supporters.

Matty Smith again didn't feature for Cove.

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

Yesterday.

Osman Sow came off the bench for Kilmarnock on the 40th minute in his last appearance for the Ayshire side.

And though he was credited with a better performance than recent weeks (including a chopped off goal for offside), he couldn't help his loanee club register any points, as they lost 1-0 away to St.Mirren.

Their 5th straight defeat and 6th match in a row without scoring a goal.

I've heard his last game for them is 11th Jan mate.

Oh really?

I stand corrected then. I just assumed he was only on loan till 1st January.

Its mentioned in a couple of articles. I assume Utd have the option of early recall though.

Also what about big Osman coming back? Do we get rid or stick with him?

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

Yesterday afternoon Logan Chalmers climbed off the Arbroath bench on the 76th minute of their Scottish Cup tie against Falkirk, with the scores tied at 0-0. And that's how the score line finished as both sides will now play out a replay in a few days time.

Ross Graham was an unused sub for Elgin City at Borough Briggs during their disappointing 2-3 defeat at home to Stenhousemuir, who scored the winner right at the death.

Graham was subbed on at HT mate. Good to see him getting game time. I've heard there are high hopes for this kid. Along with other defensive players Cooney and Neilson. Hope they can maybe secure a loan move this month too.

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

I've got an interest in Stenhousemuir, and follow their games. An Elgin fan reported of Ross Graham "Incidentally Ross Graham who came on at half time having been signed from Dundee United on loan looked the part."

Elgin were 2-0 down when he came on, got it back to 2-2 with late goals but The Warriors stole it at the death.

Yesterday afternoon Logan Chalmers was an unused substitute for Arbroath in their 2-1 home win against Ian McCall's (now) bottom of the Championship, Partick Thistle (lol).

Ross Graham played the full 90 minutes for Elgin City in their 1-2 away win at Forthbank against Stirling Albion.

This fine win has suddenly catapulted City into the promotion play-off spots in League 2. Jumping them ahead of not just Stirling themselves but also Annan Athletic.

Jake Davidson came on at half time for Queens Park at Hampden yesterday, with the Spiders 0-2 down and looking ahead at a very damaging defeat at the hands of Albion Rovers.

They rallied in the 2nd half though and the game eventually finished 2-2.

Queens Park are still just a win away from entering the play-off spots.

QP Striker Kouider-Aissa scored (again).

Re: Utd Loan Watch ~ 19/20

Yesterday Logan Chalmers was not listed in Arbroath's first team squad. This was due to the arranged terms of his loan agreement between his parent and loanee club.

Great to see those two guys getting valuable game time on loan. High hopes for both.

Forgot to add one.

On Saturday afternoon Sam Wardrop played the full 90 minutes for Dumbarton as they succumbed to a 4-2 defeat away to East Fife.

This defeat more or less kills off the Sons remaining hope off making the League One Play-Off's as they now trail East Fife (4th) by 8 points and with a far inferior goal difference to boot.

Appere's emergence this season makes all of these loan moves a lot more interesting than they have been previously.

Jones, Graham, Davidson (who is 20 in October btw) all have seen very little to no first team action for us but appear to be highly thought of by many.

I hope next season they are given a chance in pre season to show what they can do.

I'm afraid he has found his level. Even now it will be interesting to see if he can handle  the 4th tier.
