Neilson interviewed saying if he brings anyone else in then it would be a pacy winger. But only if the right one comes up. Can see us biding our time until the final days of the window. It is certainly one area we arent overloaded with, natural wingers. McMullan the only one really.

Bit dissapointed with the timing of Stanton's departure.

If he had left at the season's end, fair enough. But he had just came on to a game before his latest injury and was starting to score goals again. Feels like we are another important player down (22 appearances this season when fit).

I wish him well. Over 100 appearance for the club and always gave of his best.

Bit sad that he won't be here to finally see us lift the Championship trophy.

Not overly fussed with this. We as a club are planning for next season, this means players out to get the right ones in.....

Wouldn't be trusted in CM next year. Isn't techno am enough for a 10, isn't a winger. Can get away with filling a hole in championship. Think this is the right decision and in fairness to him, a great opportunity to go now.

Doubt there would be a fee. Stanton was always no more than a squad player. For me too light and with a tendency to hide when things were not going well. Bar Jamie Robson, last survivor of the hideous 6-1 defeat at Falkirk, in which, bar his pass for the goal, he was absolutely louping. He did show something in flashes now and again and undoubtedly has some ability but too like Keatings and Dow too light and too inconsistent. No tears here - not good enough for the premier so club right to let him follow his career elsewhere and let him go with good wishes.

Hopefully use the last 6 months of his wages towards a good winger. Like it’s been said he’s not good enough for a top 6 team and that’s where we are aiming for.

Nice lad and i wish him well, at time he gave us some real forward momentum in the midfield and will certainly deserve the winners medal, as long as we go on to win the league (surely tae fuck)

Hope the move works out for the lad as he gave 100% for the jersey. Played a few positions for us this season and scored a few vital goals, here's hoping he's getting a winners medal in the post.

Disappointed he didnt want to develop here. But now he is gone and probably has some kind of sell-on clause on him, I hope he does well. He has real ability so fingers crossed in a couple of years he is sold for some serious money.

Quite happy to see us making some room in the squad for players who will be able to take us to the next level however players like stanton smith etc will be missed, did put in a good shift and have been good players, particularly stanton.

Hopefully start to hear of one or two coming in before the end of the window (need a winger still id say) and fingers crossed kings the next to go!
