Interesting. Sporle in, Appere out? Freeman straight in - not sure about that one...
Robson, Harkes, McMullan & of course Pawlett all injured?

Does Freeman even have international clearance? Power does as it was mentioned on the signing article. But Freeman was 'subject to international clearance'.
Its anyones guess what the team will be today. But thank you Pat for suggesting my team could be a good one. Like I mentioned it gets our best players available in their best positions. Also, Partick wont expect it. On top of that, RN has known about these injuries all week so plenty time to drill 'how to play a back 3' into the team.
Difficult to drop Connolly after his performance last week.
The easy option may just be a straight swap of Sporle for Robson but hey, we'll find out at 2.

Will only know if back 3 or 4 once game kicks off. No Butcher a massive blow.

It’s not. It’s a 352 with Smith and sporle as wing backs, with Reynolds pulling wide to make it a 4141 at times.

Powers has been a more than adequate replacement for Butch. Hopefully will drive Butch even further.

Consolation goal for Thistle in the 88th minute from Kenny Miller.
Clean sheet would have been good to

Excellent result that is today.
If someone can post a summery up that would be much appreciated.

Looking like Nicky Clark has taken a bad one in the game today.
Tops off a run of fixtures around Xmas (starting from home game with Ayr through to this one) that looked tough on paper - and that was before our current injury woes!
Was rather pessimistic after the Alloa/QOTS games in October and wanted Robbie gone - looks like I might have to eat some humble pie (quite happy to do so )

The juggernaut continues with another brilliant result.
First 20/25 minutes it felt like we were second to just about everything and they looked certain to score when I think it was Miller found himself free at the back post only to be denied by big Benji. We then got our finger out and Shankland and Glass had a few efforts on goal, Shanklands First goal came from a corner at the front post. The second goal came just before the half time whistle when Glass sclaffed his shot and Sproule tapped it in on the line.
The second half was other than the Morton game probably the most one sided contest this season, Shankland got the ball and just ran and ran before putting it away in the bottom corner. Pawlett was just on when he burst down the left and cut back for Shankland to complete his hat trick.
For their goal we let a lad have free shot from 20 yards and Benji parried into the direction of Miller who stuck it away.
Good to see Mochrie, Glass all get game time. Powers had a decent 90 minutes and the one negative would be Nicky Clark who from I was sat took a really sore one and was carried up the touch line without putting any weight on his foot (boot was left on also).
1500 united fans made decent noise, pump it fucking up.

The injury to Nicky Clark has taken the shine off of today's result somewhat.
He has been a massive player for us since his return from injury.
If he misses the rest of the season we must replace him because Neilson is clearly not going to play Sow.
And what with Cammy Smith's imminent departure we are really light up top again.

Would be Appere and Shankland up top for me unless we can get someone in, Sporle left, McMullan right, Pawlett, Stanton can fill in wide too.
Would prefer someone in tho if Clark is indeed as bad as feared. Let’s face it league’s won but going into next season with winning momentum is the important thing now.
