This ‘statesman like’ thing is a lot of nonsense. I’d rather have someone who can understand the basic needs of people rather than the completely detached from reality statesman some want. Also you don’t have to be statesman like to win, see Boris, Trump etc.
Mundell celebrated his win in the same way, nobody said a word.
I’m not a huge NS fan, but this is not one of the things she should be getting grief for.

She was celebrating a huge SNP gain in a seat that was one by a young Lady who is a cancer survivor.
She had every right to celebrate and that it seems to have stuck in the craw of so many of her detractors is highly amusing.
Her followers will love the reaction, her detractors will hate it. But the 10-20% ( myself included)who could be persuaded either way will not be impressed by her schadenfruede behaviour. It's all about image and perception these days , policies are a side issue .
