Why are Dundee United made to play today?

Just noticed that there's not a full card of Championship games.

Only one other fixture (Morton v Arbroath).

Why are we playing today?

Re: Why are Dundee United made to play today?

Both us and Queens out the challenge cup so game didn’t have to be rescheduled.

The teams that didn’t finish in the promotion playoffs (plus fun) don’t play next week due to Scottish cup so that’s why we don’t have a game for a fortnight after this.

I hate the start-stop nature of modern football.

Seems to be so many holes in the footballing calendar these days.

A free weekend for the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup is a nonsense.

Ayr had 3 called up to under 21’s so got their game postponed too.

This is the third international break since the start of the season. Throw in a free weekend for the betfred cup second round and the Scottish cup next week that’s five free weeks before the end of November. A free week for every three games we play. Absolutely mental.

And stayed there! He should have been playing at Tannadice earning his bread and butter banging goals in for United. It's all very well saying that he wasn't needed on the day but he would no doubt have added to our goal difference which could very well be important at some future stage.  I will never understand why the national team claims priority.....I suppose it brings a certain prestige.  But prestige doesnae bile the kettle!

This is part of the problem. It should be an honour to be involved with the national side, not a chore or a duty.

He will want to make the number nine for Scotland his own in the future. He’s not going to do that but saying he can’t be bothered turning up because he isn’t going to play every minute.
