Anymore to come? Who would you like to see & what position would you like to see strengthened?

Re: Players in thread

would like to see a really good right back come in, i know we have watson dillon and wilson that can all play there but in my opinion none of them are any good also a left back to challenge townsend for starting slot in team

newcastle have a young player paul dummett who can play rb or lb mate he played alot of games last season for them due to injurys etc but with pardew buying 9 new players already and there injury list clearing up i have a feeling he would be available for loan

Re: Players in thread

agreed we need a player who can play left and right back to cover, don't think we will sign another out and out right back as although they are all injured we cant really expect to have a possible 4 players for one right back position!

Paul Dummett looks to have something about him like, had his fair share of death threats from Uruguay for doing Luis Suarez in the last game of the season between Liverpool and Newcastle who he's been with since he was 8yrs old. He was also on loan at St Mirren and picked up a League Cup winners medal. Interesting

Re: Players in thread

Dummet i rated at St.Mirren but as he's now a fixture in Newcastle's 1st team,i very much doubt they'de loan him out again.

If Curtis Good ever get's fit again i would like tae see him back for a year.

We really do need a different type imo.

Paton and Rankin are successfull when we are all over a team at home and they are allowed time and space on the ball tae spray it about.

Different story when it's one of those games where we are being pressed though. They all too often lose the battle in midfield in physical games.

Oh for a Barry Robson type in those games, who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and drive us forward in packs.

Re: Players in thread

Still think we'll be ok without anyone else in, but if there's more to come all the better.  LB the obvious position to bring someone else in.  Re the midfield position, think Telfer  will be the answer there.

Re: Players in thread

Telfer will be a star but I'd like another flood/scott brown player who'll battle in the middle and drive the team on.
