David Templeton

Not getting much game time at Burton Albion i am noticing.

Worth a loan move in January?

Pawlett seems fucked. We need a winger.

Re: David Templeton

Pawlett must surely be near the top of the “get rid” list. For the amount we’re probably paying him we aren’t getting anywhere near enough back. Really got to stop signing these type of players.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Him and Sow seem fucked with injuries. Awful signings given the good wages they will be on.

Thoughts on Templeton?

Sam Nicholson was mentioned? Can we not play Banks??

Templeton didn't want to come to Tannadice couple of years back? Is he not just another Aiden Nesbitt?

Re: David Templeton

Was the rumour not that Templeton was on trial under Ray but ended up at Hamilton?

Thought he’d be useful then and think he’d be useful now.

No. He did want to come to Utd. He was on trial here for about 2 months remember. Even played (and scored) for our reserves.

He (quite rightfully) got sick of waiting for a deal and signed for Accies. Scored some vital goals in keeping them up that season.

Re: David Templeton

Another lad who'd be a huge risk given the amount of injuries he's suffered in his career. I don't know if he'd be worth the risk given our record of signing such lads.

He's made a few short appearances recently for Burton.

I'd rather we made an attempt to get Scott Banks back into the squad. Both parties (Banks/his agent v United) should try a bit of give and take.

Tbf, he hadn’t played in about two years, and was in ridiculously bad shape when he was training with us. Can’t exactly blame the club for not rushing in head over heels to sign him.

The one we really missed out on is the boy Gavin Whyte that McKinnon tried to sign back when he was playing in Northern Ireland. Now getting rave reviews at Cardiff City.

He seemed to do alright at Accies JD. Fitness wise, as well as performance wise.

That was typical Ray though.

Had Shankland on trial remember.

Re: David Templeton

According to https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-templeton/verletzungen/spieler/54268 he missed quite a bit of game time at Accies due to a variety of problems, Tek.

Missed 8 games in a season.

Seems about normal to me Pat.

Re: David Templeton

Pawlett MK2 IMHO.  He's been blighted by injuries like Pawlett and as a result he's lost a yard of pace like Pawlett and as a result he mostly plays as a number 10/second striker these days rather than a winger like Pawlett.

That is fair comment.

Probably has lost that yard or half yard of pace.

Good player though.

Pawlett seemingly not that serious though according to Neilson last night.

Sam Nicholson still the one we should be looking at for me.

Re: David Templeton

Sam Nicholson would be a great upgrade on what we have at present....... in my opinion.

Still need a playmaker though. Declan Glass from January perhaps?🤔

Would like to see Glass coming back and pushing for a starting spot.

Re: David Templeton

Would like to see the club come to a compromise with Banks and get him playing but this seems unlikely now. I’d definitely agree on Nicholson.
