The 1 player the majority dropping a player would drop is a likely player to be influential with his unpredictable form. Maybe more so against a team like Partick.

If any player needs dropped it's McMullan just now, dropping him seems to fire him up again and I want him fired up for the derby.
After saturdays display i have to agree, id pop cammy smith out wide and give him some minutes. apart form that same team (if all are fit that it).
To be honest we should have more than enough to see off Partick at home but theres still that air of doubt at the moment with us. Hope a nice nerve free easy win....if there is such a thing.
Cammy Smith has never done anything out wide, very little logic in replacing McMullan with him
it wouldnt be ideal but mcmullan was poor saturday, offered little and it might be worth trying something different as we cant rely on the same players performing every game. I agree that i would prefer smith through the middle but no one really else to replace mcmullan with unless he plays appere wide although its the same situation. possible to play sporle on left and move pawlett also.

Tricky game this one, especially with Thistle's away form AND their manager seemingly knowing how to get the better of our manager.
However, this game is more than winnable and for tonight, if I was picking the team, McMullan would start the match in his tracksuit and cosy jacket. I'd put Louis in his place and then play him on the left which would move Pawlett to the right.
I'm a donut though, so that would probably backfire.

I’d maybe have Pawlett & McMullan swapping sides throughout. Keep the full backs guessing

The last time Neilson left McMullan on the bench we got a good reaction from McMullan when he eventually came on. Might be worthwhile doing again.

Pawlett, McMullan, Sporle, Clark, C Smith and Appere have all played as wide attackers/wingers this season, yet none are in their best position there. We have a glaring lack of such a player in the squad.
As earlier, I'd go with the same eleven that started on Saturday, but suspect there will be players who can't start due to injury and inability to play three games in eight days.

Its been horrific tonight
Quality poor. Missed a corner as they done a reply. Keep going onto the east stand lower from the side on a camera thats quality is shite.

First half horrific. Mcmullan misses a sitter to put us ahead.
Thistle had a couple chances also.

133% wages to turnover or not, Ogren is going to need to get his hand in his pocket in January for a centre midfielder and a left winger methinks.
No idea why Sporle wasn't brought on wide left when Pawlett went off. Instead of going like for like we've ended up shunting our entire attacking line around so no-one looks comfortable then we wonder why we are struggling to keep the ball.

Robbie Neilson. 3 Points
Ian McCall. 0 Points.
Shite performance but happy days.

Another 3 points at home but a terrible performance. We really need to up our game ASAP.
Do not rate Adam King one bit.
Few dodgy moments defensively tonight but a clean sheet again.
Totally different game Saturday up Inverness.

Specky is absolutely spewing on sportsound.

Butcher MOM tonight.
King managed an amazing double
Yes amazingly he is as bad as his brother and he is poorer quality than Stanton.

Great ba in fae Appere, for the usual high quality finish by Shanks, and that was a very welcome 3 points. But if we continue to play the way we are, we're in danger of falling behind. However there was an obvious improvement once Stanton came on.
There are times when I read back what I've posted about a match, and sometimes think that I'm being overly negative aboot the match. But I'd rather say it how it is for mysell, and be honest we fowk, and let them disagree, or slate me for talking sh1te.
Shanks coulda had mare oe the ba, coz when he did, he played at his best both inside and outside the box. Just a pity there wasna enough. By the middle oe the 2nd half, he was swearing at McMullan for the sh1t service he was getting.
I think we wasted a number of opportunities throughout the game. eg. We got a corner. Thistle cleared the ba. It came oot to Smith. There was naebody near him. He volleyed it toward McMullan who was on the left wing, instead oe bringing it doon and then passing to McMullan, and the ba went oot. Throw-in to Thistle.
Sloppy passing let us down a bit tonight, which in turn helped Thistle. Our midfield seems sonetimes unwilling or unable to play thru our opponents.
However, that was a very very welcome 3 points.
MOTM for me Butcher / Shanks.

Agree generally with Billy Hainey.
The points are gratefully received, and the performance would be acceptable if it was a 'one off', but being honest, that was the same inept display I've seen in almost every game this season.
I fear for the outcome in Saturday if the team puts in the same sort of effort and performance.
