Re: Dundee Utd v Morton

Excellent from us but would seriously have the fear if I was a Morton fan. One of the most inept performances I’ve seen from a visiting side at tannadice.

Fucking magic, keep this type of performance up and we’ll be hard to stop.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton

Apart fae a couple oe 5 minute lulls in the gehm, whar we appeared to invite Morton back inta it, the performance today was something close to brilliant.

We played some affy attractive stuff the day. Sporle, Butch, Shanks, Harkes, McMullan, Pawlett, the link up play esp. The Chairman was chuffed anywiy, could see him right across fae me, going mental.

New boy Troy looks a no bad defender. Can haed a ba nae bather, only thing is he put the ba back to the keeper too many times for my liking, when it wasnae necessary. Still if that’s the worst thing aboot the day, it’s no anything to complain aboot.

MOTM for me, McMullan. 2 goals, 2 assists, and athin else.

Morton are the worst team I’ve seen at Tannadice this Season.

(Can somedy tell iz what led to the 2nd goal, Eh wiz jist comin back fae the p1sshoose when Shanks scored).

How good is Shankland btw?

Slightly worrying now that we lose him in January window. But just gonna try and enjoy him playing for Utd in the here and now.

I do not think we will sell him in January no matter what offer we get.

The Ogrens have invested alot of money in Dundee United since they took over in the whole club not just on the field. I do not think they will sell him too early and risk a successful end to this season.

I suppose it would completely depend on.

1) Who came in for him
AND
2) The bid they made

The Ogren's have been very upfront about wishing to bring success to Utd but also make money from the club for themselves.

Say (for arguments sake) a lower end EPL club came in for him (let's say Brighton) and bid (let's say) £3,000,000 for him. Would we turn that money down and turn down the opportunity for the lad to play at the highest level in British football he could? I doubt it.

But that's all purely hypothetical on my part, admittedly. As I say, i'm just going to try and enjoy having him in tangerine + black in the here and now, and hope he keeps up this unbelievable scoring run of form.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton

A couple of posters commented on how bad Morton were.
But if Arbroath had been two down to us after 5 minutes last week I'm sure they would have ended up looking like the worst team in the league.
An early goal or even goals is like manna from heaven.

Morton will probably end up in the top 5 & expect to see a different performance from them when we go to Cappielow.
