I thought Sporle was poor. As was King. Why King was handed a 3 year deal?

King I’d agree with.  Nowhere near good enough.

I’d believe LAO.  The biggest criticism I’d have if the boy was he always cuts inside on his right foot when going forward and never goes down the outside.  He looked sound enough defensively, but today wasn’t really a day to judge.

The positive from today was Robson at CH.  could deputise in there if need be in more important games than this.

Edit to say, the cutting inside wasn’t always into a sea of bodies and momentum stopping, it was normally to swing a cross in with his right foot, which he did several times, it just became very obvious.

Agree with this summary. Thought Robson played well but he might struggle against better opposition.

Too many sideways passes. The pace of the game was way too slow. At the start of the second half we were a bit more direct and played it a bit quicker but this phase soon passed.

It wasn’t though, he looks to cut in as soon as he gets anywhere near the halfway line. I’ve seen enough of him to make a judgment on him now and IMO he’s absolute keech.

You’re right about Robson though, strolled it at centre half, never put a foot wrong all game, although the Number 9 was about 5’6 and 15 stone, so he was never gonna have the most challenging of afternoons.

Seen King at Stenhousemuir and thought he looked poor.

And their left back.

On Arbroath though, their centre half O'Brien who we were linked with a year ago, was very impressive and played Appere very well. He got away with murder from the ref but it might be worth keeping an eye on him between now and January.

An Arbroath supporting mate of mine has raved about him for years, reckons he should be playing a good bit higher than Arbroath. Will be getting on a bit now though I’d think.
