Scotland vs Brazil - 24/6/26 Miami Hard Rock Stadium (11PM)

This deserves it's own thread.

Scotland have never beaten Brazil.

We've only ever scored two goals against them in competitive matches.

And only one from open play. From, well you know who.

It really is time to throw off the shackles of failure we have carried as a nation.

It's time to believe.

And dare i say it, start showing a bit of arrogance, aggression, alongside our normal work rate.

We've done the cautious, defensive, act and shown respect to Brazil (and sides like them) for decades. Got us nowhere. Literally, fucking nowhere.

Go all out to win tonight, all out.

And truly earn the hype bestowed on this generation of Scotland players.

The other day after Morocco, there was a tv segment and it said it was 74% or so sure Scotland go though in 3rd with 3 points, that still leaves a very Scotland sized 24% window to throw ourselves out.

Playing about with results, I don't think the margin of defeat will come into it, it's all gonna be decided on points.

1 point and we're definitely through, 0 points and we're relying on results in every other group going our way, so why not at least, within reason try to compete.

0 points and as you say we are relying on other results going our way, and that absolutely will come down to goal differences so margin of defeat is very relevant. But right now im hoping for a famous victory or at least a heroic draw.

I've got an office spreadsheet and was filling in worst case results for our position, and in order for us to lose out on the 3rd place route, then other results that have some teams finish on 3 points, automatically make their goal difference better than ours whether we lose 1-0 or 5.

All worst case scenario of course but by no means predicting ridiculous results, there's a lot we need to drop in place if we don't get the point ourselves.
