We should be playing Adams in this game and seeing whether he’s ready for first team football. I’d personally give him a run between now and the end of the season. There’s no real upside to playing Richards, we’re not gonna learn anything new there, we know he’s a mediocre keeper that will never be trusted to be our number one.
Adams is an unknown quantity, to United fans anyway, he’s served his apprenticeship out on loan, playing near 100 games. The stakes between now and the end of the season for us are fairly low, we’re not gonna get relegated, and we’re not gonna go any higher than we currently are, plus there’s still a derby and an Aberdeen game to play, so you’ll see how he does under pressure so it’s the perfect opportunity to play him and see what he’s made of. If he passes with flying colours, then you’ve got the the number 2 keeper sorted for next season, and one that you know can come in and do a job if required, and possibly even challenge for the gloves.
There’s absolutely zero reason Adam’s shouldn’t play, it shouldn’t even come into Goodwin’s thinking to start Richards at this point.

Agreed. Don't mind so much if he plays Richards this Saturday with the idea being to give Adams the post split fixtures. Should we win Saturday we're really in a fantastic position to play a youth keeper, no danger of relegation, but also at least a couple games that will still come with real pressure in Dundee and Aberdeen, but even Killie and St Mirren matches are huge for those clubs trying to avoid playoffs so expect them to be meaningful games. Certainly no dead rubber matches at first look.
Hoping to see Adams, Constable and SCH play a good number of minutes between now and end of season. Can understand it may not be entirely wise to play 2 of your back 3 + a GK that are all relatively inexperienced in the top league but if you can't at least give them decent minutes at this point then what's the point in having them in the first place.

Hearing Luca Stephenson got injured in training and looks like he might have played his last game for United.
I wonder if Farrugia can play RWB.
We already know what Naamo and Strain bring (not much).

Don’t mind Naamo, should be him playing from now to end of season if Stephenson is injured

I don't think we've seen Naamo get a consistent run of starts where he could show some consistent form and be properly judged on it. Surely Stephenson being out is an ideal chance to see how well he does with 4 or 5 starts? But wasn't there speculation that he was brought in with the intention to replace Ferry?

I reckon Goodwin will play Strain.
Particularly in the Derby and Aberdeen games.

I personally don’t think we’re safe from relegation yet. One win should do it. Did Goodwin no lose every single post split game the year we went down?

It's an important game tomorrow.
If we win it , we should be able to leave the relegation play off battle to the others.
If we lose it ( to a team that hasn't won since August) we will still have to look over our shoulders with an angry fan base doing a lot of finger pointing.

37 points will be more than enough.

Maybe so, but would be nice to put it to bed tomorrow and go into the derby with all of the pressure on them.

Yeah, easily.
All the crazy permutations required for 4 teams to overhaul us probably can't/won't work.
Killie can get a maximum of 45 points, if they do that, then that means Dundee can only get to 44 and so on...
So 3 points tomorrow means we're on 40 points, if all games between the bottom six were to end in one side winning, I think there's at least one team that can only get to 39 points.
United put us through the wringer at times, but we're we to end up in a playoff spot from this position, we should probably just fold the club.
In an ideal world Livvi win all 6, Killie win 3 or 4, Dundee lose all theirs.

Surely we want Aberdeen to go down? I'm sure their two stars would light up the Championship. If not, the Dees please - I'm just not yet used to that not being 12 points a season for us.

Dundee will be fine.
The Dons could well go down though.
Particularly if they got Dunfermline in the Play-Off.

Fuck Aberdeen football club. Would love to see them rot down there.

I hope not. Strain is rank.

Tough but winnable tomorrow. While i don’t think we’ll finish 11th, a win tomorrow puts us on 40pts which is a little more respectable.
I think id play Richards tomorrow and the derby. I want to win both.

Ill settle for either tbh, Sheep going down would be funny as fuck tho, dees going down would be nice but it would just be them being them really. Im hoping we win tomorrow and both of them get beat, then there will be massive pressure on the dee in the derby. Win that and we really can sit back and watch them all squirm

I thought Livi played well against Hearts. They were energetic, hard working, closed down well and definitely look like someone has told them just to have a go. Wont be easy. We need to be on it and get that all important first goal.

I would be delighted if Aberdeen go down but also if we don’t finish 7th then serious questions need to be asked.

Aforementioned Sheep,Dees going down funny as fuck but too much attendance money involved.
+ Sheep, Dees, Fermers = 3 less West Coast trips. ... Pars a bonus

Would be ideal if the Sheep, Dees, Killie and Livi all went down.
