Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Someone on EF leaking team news, no Sapsford, Agyei, Fatah or Ferry in the starting line up. If thats Jim Goodwin saying we can't win this game then he can absolutely fuck right off! Fatah can't even play in the cup game so wtf are we resting him for? Absolute bollocks, Finn you might as well take the missus shopping 🫤

I certainly don't disagree that St.Mirren at home is more winnable than Motherwell away, but it's also 3 days before our biggest match of the season.

For me that is the game to be making a few changes.

If we play a weakened team tomorrow we run the risk of getting beat heavily. That for me would be unacceptable.

See the post above mate, it looks like we are 🫤, from an ITK source on EF who usually gets it spot on.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Honestly,if Jim is disregarding tomorrow's game in the hope we will win on Tuesday then he can absolutely fuck right off for me. Lying down to Motherwell, what a time to be alive.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Given that the league is so tight, and if football worked out that way, i'd absolutely sacrifice 3 points tomorrow, to take them on Tuesday, and that's a shite state of affairs to be in or contemplate, but it's not that simple and if thats the managers thinking, fucking hell.

But IF we field a weakened team tomorrow, only to go full strength on Tuesday, Robinson won't need to do a team talk.

Exactly, and there are absolutely no guarantees that it would work in our favour and absolutely every chance we'll make proper cunts of ourselves. A pathetic approach that makes me sick to my stomach. Of course I'll be on here singing and dancing and calling Jim a genius if we win 3 games in a week

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Surprised Fatah not playing as he’s been our best player recently and also unavailable next Friday so no need to rest him.

Agyei has played 90 minutes on Saturday and again on Tuesday without playing that regularly in the previous few weeks so not too surprised if he’s on the bench for this one.

Ferry has played just about every minute in a physically demanding position and we’re in middle of a very busy schedule, plus he’s looking tired IMO so no issue with him being rested for a game.

Sapsford has been brutal since new year so no problem with him not starting, issue is there’s no decent alternative…

We should play our strongest team on Saturday. We'll need to against a very good side if we have any intentions of taking even a point.

Tuesday against St.Mirren (if it goes ahead) should however see wholesale changes. Naamo, Farrugia, SCH, Stirton, Dolcek, Eskesen etc should all get game time.

I think the wholesale changes will take place against Motherwell rather than St Mirren. I don't think we are getting anything at Motherwell regardless of what 11 we put on the park.

The St Mirren match is winnable and far more important to keep the gap ( hopefully increase it) to the teams below us.

Im not accepting us lying down to anyone, fuck sake this is Motherwell not Barcelona. As good as they've been this season, that kind of chat is fucking embarrassing. The day we roll over and accept we can't win a game against Motherwell is the day the football died.

Me neither.
Also add that shitey teams bring you down to their level. Motherwellno doubt a good  team , but good opposition, good pich serves us well.

Fuck Jim Goodwin, looking at that team hes just bending us over to take it up the arse. Seriously disillusioned with United right now. I'm fucking off out for a ramble with the dog,not watching that shite.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Can anyone work out how our 11 lines up today?

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Looks like 5-4-1 with the 1 being Watters,so not much chance of breaking through the best defence in the league. Goodwin talks absolute shite about not giving up on top six and then fucking lines up like that! Absolute shitebag

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

He may have stumbled on to a line up/formation that gets a battling 1-1.

More likely to be a multi goal defeat and a squad going into next 2 gamea short of confidence and 2 more defeats.

If the latter then this time next week he should be unemployed.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

We can barely control the ball
We can barely string 2 passes together
Our bombscare Central defenders are at it again
Time and time again

And a manager that persists in playing the woeful Watters up front when he can barely trap a ball does not deserve to be the manager of Dundee United.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Should be about 5 down here

Can’t put 2 passes together

Watters and Strain are Sunday league standard

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

I've absolutely had enough of this useless spineless manager. This team offers fuck all and he's a negative cunt who is totally incapable of getting anything out of them. Honest to fuck had enough, fuck off before we sink any lower Jim you useless bastard.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Avoided everything to do with the game until about 15 minutes ago.

How the fuck can they use that camera angle, that level of focus, look at any force involved, decide they're was contact and be confident enough to award that?

Fucking joke.

That said we voted for VAR, so fuck us!

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Laid bare for all to see today was a well coached team who are greater than the sum of their parts taking apart a team who are so obviously not getting the correct standard of coaching. Although the margin of defeat was only 2, it could easily have been 5 or 6. I'm not going to rip into individual players in this post but we have some players that are clearly below the standard acceptable.

Goodwin has taken a team that was thrilling while going toe to toe with Rapid Vienna and made them progressively worse as the season has gone on. We can barely pass the ball and we don't know how to construct a move.
Our decision making on the ball in the opposition half is absolutely terrible time and time again. It's embarrassing.

Yes I feel embarrassed watching the team I have proudly supported for decades.
This is not what Dundee United is about. This is not our identity or DNA.

We need, somehow, to find a manager that can make us proud to watch our team.

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

I hate the c*nt even more now I've seen his post match interview.  Every fucking week we are talking about the same deficiencies and yet he's managed to do absolutely fuck all about them. Bullshit excuses, team selection is on you Jim no one else! He picked that line up trying to be a clever cunt and save legs for Tuesday because he had no belief we could win today and that lack of belief is spread throughout the team. I do not want that kind of manager in charge of the club I love. Just wait till we lose the next 2 games as well and all we have left is a fucking relegation battle. Absolutely destroying this club, get him to fuck!

Re: Motherwell vs Dundee United - Saturday 28th February

Goodwin also needs to come right out and say why we are down to two strikers who both would currently entirely miss a barn door with a fucking elephant!

Can’t do that. Means he’d be critical of the recruitment which him and some football manager namesake were tasked to do.

Fucking awful player. Rightly booed off.
