Fuck me that was hard work, the ref killed that game for us. Still should have scored 5 though, but when are we ever gonna keep a clean sheet?

Not a great watch but with 10 men just happy to get through.
Graham, Ferry, Sibbald and Dolcek all did fine. Camara was very good.
Watters and Sapsford, dear oh dear
Stirton doesn’t look ready.

With better decision making that could have been more comfortable. Got the win but really glad it didn’t go to extra time.

Not the best advertisement for Stirton, but thought Will Ferry getting in his face at full time was a bit much. Feels like the team is really quick to turn on each other whenever we have a wobble.

Appealing red card decision by the referee. I was calling him a clown for giving a free kick, then when he reached for his pocket it was surely to f**k he is not going to book him for that.
If football was like that when I was young I'm not sure if I would have been interested in it.
We used to always say its a contact sport, not any more.

Looks to me like Sapsford is ill.
If Stirton isn't 'ready' what does that make Watters 😀
I'm also wondering if there isn't 100% cohesion in the dressing room which might be showing in performances.

You see the same kind of block nearly every game when the defender is trying to let the ball run for a goalkick so he blocks off the forward, it's never a foul then and it was never a foul tonight. Absolutely pathetic junior referee at best, needs sacking tbh
Yet Ferry gets a forearm smash and no red card i meant to add.

Ref ruined game.
What's Iovu supposed to do, stand out of he's road. Was getting away with it all day against Falkirk. Big ham.
Pan Sibbs, Dolzec,SCH good. Any luck Jim'll go to 4 henceforward.

The block by Iovu was a yellow.
The tackle that got Fatah's recent red was a complete accident, albeit a bit clumsy but a yellow at most.
The worry for me is that these players go forward into future games frightened to do the basics of tackling in case they get the bizarre standard of Scottish refereeing again. You could see tonight that Amar Fatah was being extra careful because he didn't want to let his team mates and manager down.
I think his game suffered for it.
What's Iovu going to do the next time he makes the sort of yellow card block we see every week in football? Will he make it or will he hesitate?
These refereeing mistakes have consequences. We should be more vocal about these mistakes.

Relieved that we won and as such avoided another embarrassment to lower league opposition, but really quite dismayed with some aspects of tonight's performance.
Tonight was a huge chance to register a clean sheet and a morale boosting win with a few goals scored, but in the end we shoot ourselves in the foot far too often and we end up making things much harder for ourselves than they need to be constantly.
The red card was possibly harsh, but i also felt it was a ridiculously cynical body check by Iovu and after the Falkirk red on Saturday i don't think we can complain too much tbqh as both were in a way similar.
No-one has mentioned it, but i also felt we got a real break near the end when Sam Harding blatantly barged their player over and no penalty was given. Looked a bit of a stonewaller had VAR been there to intervene.
My player ratings -
AMB 6 - Didn't have much to do on the night other than a couple of routine saves. If i'm being ultra-critical i felt he could have moved his feet a bit quicker at their goal.
Strain 6 - Okay, but just 'ok', nothing more.
Sevelj 7 - Solid display. Great to have him back.
Iovu 2 - Last couple of matches just some braindead decision making and fouls right under the referee's nose. Never struck me as a clogger earlier in the season. Think he's taking Goodwin's words about being more 'aggressive' a little too literally. Will very quickly become an utter liability at this rate.
Graham 8 - The 'goal machine' with his 3rd goal in a row. Great to see and also him getting a run of games together without injury. Long may it continue.
Ferry 5 - Fairly subdued performance i thought.
Camara 8 - Great performance of running and passing and showed real leadership near the end trying to push the team on for the killer 3rd goal. Good to see him trying to get forward more.
Sibbald 6 - Quiet game by his standards. Slashed at his one decent chance in the match. Though the ball was at a rather awkward height.
Dolcek 7 - Impressed with him tonight. One great cross that Fatah should have buried and an absolutely sublime outside of the boot pass that led to our 2nd. We need to stop being so obsessed with what he can do off the ball and instead encourage him to get on the ball as often as possible and attempt to create magic, because he undoubtedly can provide moments of quality. A potential matchwinner, and we don't have many.
Watters 3 - Genuinely baffles me the drop-off in this guy. It's staggering. Genuinely awful once again. Looks like he does everything to avoid getting in the way of the ball, even when played through one on one he had zero conviction to burst through and score, instead shirks responsibility and elects to let Fatah do the hard part. His ridiculous effort in the first minute, he even winces in pain and starts feeling his knees etc. An utter waste of a jersey.
Fattah 7 - Not quite at his best, but still provided a couple of moments of good quality and scored yet another goal. Very, very disappointing to read he'll miss the Quarter Final.
Subs -
Sapsford 5 - Concerning the drop-off in Zac. Looking a shadow of the terrific little player he looked in the Summer and all the way up to Hogmanay. His 2026 form has fell-off a cliff and i can only surmise he is either injured or ill. In which case why the Hell is he playing.
Stirton 7 - Seems to be getting a bit of stick tonight in some quarters. Baffling. He played Sapsford through one on one with a lovely weighted pass and put another one through for Camara (though ever so slightly over hit and wide). He is very raw but when he plays things seem to happen and the ball sticks up top. Need a proper chance as Striker with two wingers either side to see how he does, rather than just being the sacrificial lamb and coming on to plug holes or pointlessly run the channels at Parkhead etc. He deserves it, every other Striker has been afforded that chance. Some undeservedly, so.
Farrugia 6 - Done 'ok'. Couple of moments of good close skill. And can link-up fairly well. That said though, i don't see him as a game changer or a guy who can potentially provide a match winning moment.
SCH 5 - Silly challenge in the last minute, which he and we got away with.
Stephenson 5 - Never seen much or anything from Luca in the time he was on. Disappointed we never seen Agyei on tbh.

Not at the game, so that is very disappointing to read.
Ferry isn't a good Vice Captain imo. Far too critical and often attributes blame to others very publicly.
Vicko for me would be the better VC.

Presumably because Kerezstes was off, he needed someone else to take his anger out on. We'd just won the bloody game. I get he's a bit of a hot head but feel like I clocked Ferry having a bad attitude earlier in the season and can't unsee it now. Screams at his players over relatively minor infractions, has had a go at fans in the stands, rarely claps or acknowledges supporters unless he's having a go at them - all while putting in a performance that is a shadow of last season's.
He was so important last campaign and I'm sure we would notice the gap in the squad if he went tomorrow, but it feels increasingly like he doesn't want to be here. When we speculate about cohesion in the dressing room, I could see him being part of the problem there.
Agree about VC. Would definitely take Vicko. Sibbald who, while a bit quieter, leads by example, professional, and is good at organising folk. Even folk like Luca, if he wasn't a loanee, shows a lot of leadership on the pitch, seems to care about the team and the support, and strikes a better balance of motivating folk versus venting frustrations.

Daft free-kick fir Iovu to gee away, but an even after decision fae the Ref. Was it a foul - Eh, was it a Yellow - probly, was it a Red - definitely no.
Trouble was the Spartans players surrounding the Ref and pointing to the goal. Probly ruined whatever gehm plan we had.
Enjoyed the result, but didna enjoy lots of the gehm. There was bits or the gehm ye'd think it was Sparta Prague we were playing. They had a good bit mare possession than we had. Ken we were doon to 10, but even so.
Esp. in the 2nd half, they were sitting we just 2 at the back, and we thir extra man, their No.2 had the whole of the right-wing to himsell. Unmarked, he had the freedom oe the George Fox.
It contributed to them having large spells in and around oor box, with some neat passing to their credit.
As other fowk have sayed, we shoulda had the gehm killed aff. But Sapsford never look right. Twa barrels into the ET when he shoulda passed to Stirton and Camara (he wasna happy). Did ye see him when was going to tak the corner. Looked knackered.
Twa brah goals tho.
MOTM for me Camara/Graham.

I might be wrong about Fatah being suspended, I just googled it and it says 3 yellows not 2 for a suspension. Also says they get wiped at the semi final stage. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong of course. I wouldn't bother appealing Iovus red as we will be better without the big hopeless cunt anyway.

Worth remembering they went 4 up front in the last 10/15 mins. Threw a big CH up as well. And if not for some shite decision making, we could’ve won that 4 or 5-1.

Yeah thats my take too.

Anyone looking at the stats would think it was a lot closer than it was, but that's not a true reflection of the game.
We were really comfortable the first half, deservedly took the lead, then extended it, then they threw caution into the wind at the same time we made a triple sub, taking off 2 of the players who'd given them most trouble.
Naturally they got a bit more of the ball, but were pretty clueless in how they attacked us, same balls all the time, and it's only the fact that our defence play on eggshells that made it a bit nervy. One bread and butter save from the keeper, then beaten by a wicked deflection, whereas we passed up so many opportunities to kill the game on the break.
Wasn't great viewing but after the sending off up to about the 80th minute I thought we managed it pretty well.

I thought it was not a bad display considering it was 11 v 10. The removal of Sibbald , Fatah and to a lesser extent Dolcek was the point where Spartans came into the game.
The replacements particularly Sapsford and Stirton were abysmal, to the point I was thinking we would better with Moller up front. As others have said with a bit more composure and a better final ball it would have been 4 / 5 -1

Zac Sapsford has looked genuinely unwell past couple of games. I know Goodwin said that he had a bug a while ago, but is he playing through illness?
