Yeah, it seemed a struggle because Raith had a great season by their standards, but it was a high points tally, goals for, against, clean sheets etc. So fair play on that.
But, that season there was no question that we were massive favourites, given the squad we retained and built.
Winning the league was the bare minimum.
Yeah tbf if Raith had 10pts less, we’d of won the league weeks before. It made that season reasonably entertaining.

Saw a post on another forum. It said this.
"John McGlynn wins that match with either squad"
A damning verdict on Goodwin's abilities.

And all this thread, just seems a bit moot, I don't think the club would released the 3 years in charge video, if he was under any real pressure from above.
All we're really missing is the defence, everything else does seem a bit desperate when we're often playing catch up.
Of course a better centre forward an more direct second wide man would be advantageous, I wonder if with another blank canvas he gives up on his 3 at the back or actually gets guys in that aren't soft.

Not that I ever feel envious of the funsters, or would ever want Pressley as our manager, but at least he goes out tries to win difficult games against the Old Firm, Motherwell, derbies etc.
Goodwin just sticks 10 men on the edge of the 6 yard box and shuts his eyes.
Exactly, and yet some people think he's brought us stability and that he's massively over achieved since hes been here. 10th going into the split= relegated, scraped the championship despite Raith hanging onto our coat tails all season in the weakest championship in years, 4th place last year was an achievement right enough but with mind numbing football and a helluva lot of single goal wins. And this season, where do I fucking start? But still there are some ( not here) who think it's best to give him another transfer window. The mind boggles!Agree with most of that apart from the highlighted, winning a notoriously difficult league by 6 points isn't 'scraping it'.
6 points by the end,but dont tell me that up until the win over them that you weren't concerned? Because I bloody was. If we'd lost that day we'd have blown it in my opinion and it's easy to say 6 points gap now but there were a helluva lot of nerves, so scraping it seems fair to me.

I would like a different manager in summer for next season but I don't think owners have any intention of sacking him but if it did happen I would like something different maybe a German manager every appointment is a risk and no guarantee it works but if we were looking within Scotland for next manager if Goodwin left then Neil lennon for me he would bring bit of fire n passion

If we were to win on Tuesday and lose Friday it would be interesting to see the attendance figures at Tannadice in the weeks after. Season effectively over with finishing somewhere between 9th and 7th likely to be the end result.
Can't help but look at that lineup from today and think Goodwins pulling a Postecoglou at Spurs and sacrificing any effort in the league in the slim hope of a cup win.
Fat chance.
Since this has come to pass, I think the next few weeks will decide my thoughts on renewing my season ticket based on where Goodwin goes from here.
We've now got absolutely nothing to play for now, bottom six all but guaranteed and a negligible risk of the playoffs. I'd like to see us attempt a few different styles, try 4231, 442 or whatever else in preparation for next season. We've really nothing to lose, and I think that for Goodwin, at least showing the support that he recognises that this experiment hasn't worked will maybe get him a little bit of good will should we pick up a few results.
If he sticks with the same shite, I don't think I'll bother renewing. It's absolutely dire to watch, I can't renew my ticket if I think it's away to be more of the same next year.

Tbh if he was to change his system now when it's too late and there's no real risk it would sum him up perfectly and would make my annoyance greater. Its been staring him in the face all season.

We can't defend crosses into our box, this may be because of the standard of our defenders or maybe due to there being 3 centre half's who aren't sure whether to mark a player or an area but having seen goal after goal conceded from crosses into the box you would think the manager would then want to stop the crosses coming in but no we allow it to happen week after week. We don't even make it hard for teams to get crosses in, we stand off them and let them put cross after cross into our box. Play 4 at the back give the full backs the responsibility of stopping the crosses and the 2 centre half's the responsibility of marking the 2 strikers. What the feck we are doing in training I do not know but whatever it is it's definitely not working we lose the same type of goals every game.

If we don’t put in a performance in the Derby next week that will tell us all we need to know and by the way I’m not sure even if we do it will be good enough.
I’ve got my ticket but probably for the first time since the relegation derby I’m worried.

If Goodwin stays and Ogren doesn’t act accordingly, the pressure must be upped on both Goodwin and Ogren from fans.

Whatever he saves in not sacking him he's gonna lose in season ticket sales, unfortunately he's too fucking thick to see it.
Meanwhile St fucking Mirren have the chance to do what the perth Saints did.
Its fucking sickening!

At the start of the season we would have expected atleast 2 victories and a draw at the very least from the last 3 games and to come away with this 9 games in 5 weeks excuse is embarrassing.

There's a thread on Twitter if you can be arsed reading it, decent analysis of this season compared to previous years, lays a lot of it bare, just one man's thoughts. A lot of us are pissed off, I know it could be better and wanting better isn't a bad thing, but to me a lot if it is down to how we play rather than results.
I'd rather we won and lost the same amount of games, by being more attacking than how we currently play, Yes concede 2, but that's because we set out to score 3. A diet Kevin Keegan's Newcastle type set up.
Only one stat matter, goals, let's try and score more.
Anyway, here's that thread...
