There was some Dee trying really hard to wind up United supporters because the United announcer at yesterday’s match announced a crowd of over 7000 then a few minutes later announced it was only like 4300. He was saying united always inflates the actual attendance. I really posted on the wrong site.

Might fly in the face of tradition, but given ties are all over the place these days, I wouldn't mind them doing the draw like a tournament style.

4th round draw 16 ties, draw them, then numbers 1-16 go back in the hat.

Winner of tie 1 at home to winner of tie 13 etc

repeat until the final where you still do a draw and the first 'team out gets to pick their end at Hampden.

United count tickets sales as attendance.

Yesterday, inflating the attendance would've cost us money.

Season tickets dont count though so wouldn’t have been a factor

Then wondered why we'd do that, as we give Ayr half the gate after costs. When the real attendance was announced then it was clear it was given in error.

Yeah sorry,I was referring to your first paragraph not the second. I was assuming you meant in the way we do for league games where they dont count the actual supporters in the ground and assume all season ticket holders are in attendance.
