Eh actually thought we shoulda won that the day. We shoulda had it nailed in the 2nd half. Think we played pretty well. The number oe nearies, wasted opportunities in the 2nd half, and poor bas inta the box is what cost us.
Their goal comes fae a coarner they get following a bad pass in the middle. Then Boil in the bag is left unmarked.
To me Moller and Watters, I honestly dinna ken how good or bad a player they actually are. Everything seems half hearted fae them. As other fowk have sayed, We've players like Stirton (who we've spent £1000s on training him), and he hardly gets a look in.
Wasna too impressed we McLean. Inconsistent. eg. He gees a free-kick to Hibs for high-boot but we dinna get ane.
MOTM for me Sibbald
Waters has been massively disappointing since he returned from injury. He’s certainly more of a handful than Moller, but he looks angry and frustrated.
Sam Dalby’s only started 2 games this season. I wonder if we can twist Bolton’s arm into loaning him to us in January. He’s the guy that turned games like today into wins.
I doubt we are allowed anymore loans right now tbh. Watters hasn't been all bad, holds the ball up and fights to win it back too. If he'd hit that shot first time today and missed he'd be getting slated for that. He did what most strikers would have done, the defender put in a great block is all.

We were pretty good today, just couldn’t find that second goal. But can’t fault the fight amongst the players, led by Sibbald and Stephenson today. Ferry’s been much better the last couple games, thought today was probably the best he’s been this season, and it was also good to see SCH get a run out. We were kinda fucked by having to use our last sub with 20+ minutes to go.
Thon Miller though, Jesus wept. I didn’t think it would be possible to downgrade on Van der Sande, but boy have we… massively. My heart dropped when I seen him getting ready to come on. He is absolutely stinking, slow as fuck, no aggression, gets smaller when he jumps… if he jumps at all, his positioning is the worst I’ve ever seen, instead of staying between the posts, he peels off wide and deep to the half spaces where he knows he’s not gonna effect the game, and even if the ball does fall to him there, he’s too slow to do anything with it. An absolute shitebag of a player that offers us absolutely nothing. Comfortably walks into our worst ever XI along with the likes of Lyng and Barton.
Wtf has Stirton done for this imposter to be stealing minutes off him? After doing so well on loan last season, why have we suddenly chosen to totally stunt his development in favour of this big diddy? The last time Stirton played for us, he scored, I’ve never even seen Moller within 12 yard of the goal ffs.

We need to be seriously questioning these sports scientists. Look at the long list of injuries we're getting. There's barely a first team player that HASN'T had a spell out with injury.
Naamo
Strain
Graham
Keresztes
Esselink
Camara
Watters
Eskeson
Iovu
Kucherenco (maybe)
Who have I missed?
Trapanovski ?
and how many of them are hamstrings? Camara and Watters both had a history of injuries and we’ve signed them and guess what? Yep.
This goes beyond just bad luck and coincidence.

That's what happens when the budget you are given by the Chairman is poor even compared to the bottom half of the league. So, you end up shopping in the bargain basement aisle and are forced to take a punt on boys that other clubs won't touch because of their injury records.

How on earth could you say we shop in the bargain basement when I'm pretty sure I read on here that Ross Docherty was the best midfieldier outwith the old firm when he was with us??
Goodwin gets 16 new players a season and has done since he took charge.
Strain, Ferry etc will be on good wages.
To even think Goodwin doesn't get a decent budget is criminal. The only manager in the top flight to get a new XI every season. He cannot get a tune out of his signings. A clear sign he is not the man to take us into the next 4 years

A week where we have gone 3 matches unbeaten and looked a bit more like a team and you have been no where to be seen on the forum. You've spotted an opening to have a go at JG.
Try and be a bit more positive, you'll be a happier person.

I'll second that. We know Conway wants rid of Goodwin. He can save himself the bother and us the boredom of just not posting unless he fancies actually talking about something else.
I wouldn't mind some factually structured criticism, but we now live in a football world where most clubs like ourselves are going to be in virtually new squad every season. I can't think of many top league teams that haven't had 5 or 6 new faces in the match day squad compared to last year. Comparatively Goodwin's budget is a 6th to 10th place budget at best so to have had probably more change (i.e. more lesser quality players on paper) and still be competing at the top end of that budget is actually evidence of a good manager.
I've got plenty of Goodwin grumbles. He has addressed some like an unwillingness to make subs earlier and a rigidity to formation (although he has played about with that a bit even in games), but still seems incapable of having a go at a team from the start or getting more time on the pitch for prospects whilst playing the haddies he's signed too frequently.
That said, it's better the devil you know for me. For every Berthel Askou there are 5 or 6 Kettlewells in Scottish management.

I would say the majority of teams in our league have a new XI pretty much every season now. Or every two years anyway. Most players are on two year deals now.
