He’s the pre-contract according to reliable poster elsewhere

According to an earlier post the pre contract signing is coming from abroad not Walsall.

Yup, crazy. That’s what happens when you have an owner who’s only interest in the club now is trying to claw back what he put in in the first place.

Compare to Aberdeen, who’s second choice keeper gets an injury and is immediately replaced. Cormack might be a fanny, but he is at least interested and engaged in his team.

Thought the exact same thing when I saw news about Aberdeen.

Re: January Transfer Window

Scott Burns saying we'll have a keeper in before the window closes.
Also close on completing a few pre-contracts.

Re: January Transfer Window

Finally a keeper! Ashley Maynard-Brewer’s signing on a permanent from Charlton.

And Eskesen’s seemingly away.

Re: January Transfer Window

I thought the Goalie signing would be a loanee signing.

Seems a helluva gamble to dish out a 2 and a half year deal to a boy who's barely played this season (1 appearance).

Pretty underwhelmed after how long we've waited, but here's hoping we're pleasantly surprised.

He can't be any worse than the last Australian Keeper.

Seems relatively small and lightweight too for a keeper. Im already having nightmares about Klangeroo 2

Re: January Transfer Window

Not going to write him off just yet.

I'll arrive early Saturday and wait to see how many he lets in during warmups. If it's more than 2 goals conceded, the booing will commence

The keeper was stinking at county. He clocked his heels together when he kicked which was only one side. So not too thrilled at all with him.

Happy Eskesen is being offloaded.

We really don't want a goalkeeper who clocks his heels together when he kicks.
There's nothing worse.

Or who was 'stinking' at Ross County.

Wish someone had told Jim.

He done like a star jump and both his feet come together then he speeds up and takes a goal kick. I’m sure someone will remember him doing that😂.

I wouldn’t dare waste my fifer slang on this keeper anyway.

Re: January Transfer Window

I believe Jeando Fuchs is a free agent now. He’s only 28…

If we got the old United Fuchs with Camara…

Hearing that his shot stopping is pretty impressive, but his distribution is questionable.

Remember Jim Leighton?  He used to have a sort of buckled leg when he kicked the ball, didn't impact him being one of the best Scottish goalkeepers of that generation.

I'd take Maynard Brewer on a year and a half contract with a club held option for a further year.

As for Jeando, Fuching right I'd take him back.

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Have you forgotten the Fuchs we had to put up with when he wanted away? He's just quit his last club so it doesn't sound like hes changed either,no thanks.

Fair comment, but he was playing under Jack Ross and Liam Fox towards the end of his time at United.  Even as a die hard Utd fan, I wouldn't be massively keen to play under either, particularly Fox, as a manager.

Re: January Transfer Window

Scott Burns now reporting that United have the sealed the pre-contract and agreed to sign Jesse Randall on a 2 year deal with another year option.

Seems like an exciting prospect.

Really can’t for the life of me understand why we’re not all over this. 19 goals for Queen’s Park already this season. And it’s not like we’re flush with goal scorers. The ambition at this club is at an all time low.
