Transfer speculation? In September? It's no secret that Vancouver Whitecaps want him. I expect them to come back in when their next transfer window opens (January 31st).
Well that may be so but we are in September so his mind should be on his current club. Im fairly sure it is tbh. As soon as we have a bad performance people start making assumptions about whether the players have their mind on the job. He was excellent in the previous game (as was everyone ) so I hardly think his mind is elsewhere.
I don't think it is either. I'm just replying to you asking about what speculation there is/was.

We never got oot 2nd gear the day. For a lot of the time you would think they'd never played the gither before. We just never really looked like scoring.
Far too much slow drudgy play fae the back. Lost coont oe the number times we had the ba at the half-weh line, and it went ah the weh back to oor last man. It was becoming part of the show. Even the bairns rood me were predicting it. WTF.
And if ye canna score a penalty when yer 2-nil doon, well there's little hope.
Killie didna look that brilliant. Better drilled than the SSB Eh suppose. But they exploited all our gaps.
Pretty seek efter that. Sh1tey day at the office. Lost fir words.

Think we are over reacting to what was a poor performance on a day things just didn’t go for us. In the same way it was suggested we were all getting carried away with how good we were after aberdeen and Dundee.
If you watch the highlights, some of the chances we missed and look at the stats we were ok.
We should maybe expect streetwise teams like Kilmarnock and Livingston next week are going to give us more problems than teams that try to play against us like hibs and aberdeen until some of the foreign lads understand how to play against them.

I wisnae there y'day, hopefully the only home game I miss this season.
Anyway if I can still give an observation having watched the highlights.
When Luca wins the pen he reacted animatedly to the fans in the ET.
Looked frustrated, he was geeing up the crowd, 'let's hear you'.
Was it flat on the terraces right enough?
We are NOT the best support when we are behind in a game, 0-2 worse than 0-1 as well.
We need a 12th man when we're behind but the fans tend to go flat, very flat even.
Maybe it's more common everywhere these days, sing when we're winning but go behind and you're on your own.
When we were branded 'The Terrors' back in the 60s it was due to the team never giving up, we often pulled games back from behind. But it was with the considerable help of the fans, we cheered to the end.
Yup, it was the good old days.
I wish we could reinvent 'The Terrors of Tannadice'.

Very interesting comments here from our curent Captain. He is very, very honest (maybe a bit too honest).
Basically saying games against teams like Killie, St.Mirren and Livi are horrible to play in and you need to win the battle first, and that we need to do that first and foremost next Saturday.
He also touches upon Utd rejecting Vancouver's bid for him. He is philosophical about it and understands the clubs position, but sounds like he wanted it to happen. I think he'll be away next window, so i hope we are currently scouting not just his replacement, but also his back-up.

Read a lot of comments putting Saturday down as a bad day at the office. Personally, it's not a phrase I like since it allows people to avoid taking responsibility for the result and performance. I think there are always things players, manager and fans could have done better.
The atmosphere was flat all game, people appeared to turn up expecting us to roll them over (me included). I've lost count of how many Utd games where this scenario has played out the the next game after a good performance. We needed the atmosphere to replicate Tuesday.
The manager's changes were wrong for me. He needs to switch Fatah & Dolcek if they are getting no joy as inverted wingers rather than sub them. Sapsford was poor, should have been off for Moeller & we could try some crosses into him. Instead of punts from chs or full backs 30 yards out.
Finally, not for the first time v Killie we saw some players go into their shells when things weren't going their way and Killie started mixing it. That LeBron James haddy up front was leaving boots in all game, not once did anyone go through him.
Similarly, David Watson (who is everything we need to start aiming for with our academy players) was getting tore in all over the pitch, not once did anyone actually give him anything back.
Was it it right to say we could have played all night and not scored? Not really. You knew the penalty was getting missed, not because of this, but because Sapsford looked pretty dejected all game. Strange to allow him to take it. If we score I reckon we'd have got something.
Bad day at the office? The proof will be in the pudding next week. Make no mistake, they will play EXACTLY the same way as Killie with the ball launched to Muirhead & Yengi up front & Pittman in midfield under orders to smash anything that moves. We need to show we can handle it.
I'd be tempted to bring Strain back to rb and put Luca in midfield. Probably revert to back 4 as well. Think someone needs to explain to some of the players that it's football they're playing, not rugby and the ball is allowed to go forwards occasionally.

I'm guessing here but I'm assuming that when people use the phrase bad day at the office they're hoping the result was a one off blip, an out of character performance that wouldn't be repeated on a normal day. I'm sure that's exactly what it was.
But saying that it's difficult to understand why so many players were all below par at the same time. And if I'm honest I felt JG waited too long to change things then probably made the wrong changes.
We need a complete reset on Saturday, a reapplication of intensity pace and desire. Let's hope that's incoming.
