Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

I really hope Jim and Ross Graham have been showing the new players derby videos so they can see what it means to us.
And so they can see the intensity and the atmosphere. Wired into it from minute 1 please.

Rumour about him being injured too. But at the moment these rumours are happening daily. If someone makes a joke about a player being injured it can grow into full rumour mode.

Noticed Sapsford was in the video though.

Yes, that was great to see, as was seeing Moller.

Goodwin is naturally cautious by nature though, therefore i'd be surprised to see Sapsford risked, with another two week break round the corner. I have been told his training has been completely 'non-contact'.

But maybe he'll make the bench and he'll figure he could play 10-20 minutes. I guess we'll soon find out. I think he wouldn't have featured at all tomorrow, but if Stirton is now injured too it might force the issue.

P.s. hope big Owen is in the squad in some capacity.

Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

Is it just me or has the build up to this derby all been a bit flat, especially considering its the first of the season. I certainly feel that way and honestly im still a bit scunnered from the rapid game. Hopefully todays the day we move on from that and lets hope the players up for it, jim needs to get the squad right up for this to make amends for the terrible showing last time out. Nervous, not confident and worried about what players we actually have available. Not the best way to go into a game against the fun, please jim lets kick start our domestic season today

Mon the shed

Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

It has seemed like there is a lot of negativity the  build up to this match. There are far more posts about injured players than about the game itself.
It dosent always go the way you want in the Derby but I'm reasonably confident based on I wouldn't swap our squad of players for theirs.

This injury list is becoming a bore now. It’s a fucking joke.

Absolute kunts. The whole thing was all about Simon Murray. What the actual fuck.
Disgraceful from Premier Sports.

Anyway that's the best reaction we could have.
Never out of 3rd gear and comfortable 2-0 away win.

Zac can take a goal, wow.
And Dolcek too.

Good day at the office.
Only player negative for me is I think we should have taken Stephenson off straight away instead of letting him carry on for another 10.

Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

A good win and clean sheet in a (if truth be told) mediocre football match.

Best players for me were Iovu (thought he was excellent), Camara, Sapsford and Dolcek (2nd half). Good to see Will Ferry far more like himself also.

Not seeing what Amar Fatah brings to the team, as yet. Flatters to deceive, for me.

Thought Moller looked good in his cameo.

Another frustrating two week break now, but hopefully it gives us time to get some other players fitter like Moller and Eskesen and get some more of the injured players back or closer to a return.

Anyone anything on Owen Stirton? What is his injury?

P.s. thought Dundee were very, very poor. Gonna be a long season for them.

Agree with all of that. Camara MOTM, he was absolutely everywhere. Iovu was good as well, he’s aggressive, I like the way he steps out and makes tackles high up.

I think Fatah will frustrate, he keeps wanting to wait inside instead of making himself available out wide. I think this is cause he’s not very quick for a wide player. He’s more gonna try and use trickery rather than pace to beat boys. I’m a Spurs fan as well, and I see him as more of a Kulusevski type wide player.

Moller is absolutely enormous. I thought he was gonna be tall and lanky, but he’s built like the side of a house. He towered over their defenders, and they’re not exactly wee. Had a few good touches, and played Dolcek through with a good knockdown but he hit straight at the keeper. I think he’ll be very well suited to Scottish football once he settles in.

As for Dundee, holy fuck, I’ve seen some shite teams over the years from them, but I reckon that might be most shite and ineffective Dundee side in recent memory, especially going forward. They have absolutely nothing to threaten teams with. We never had to get out of second gear there, just knocked the ball about like it was a training game. I’ll say it now, they simply will not win enough games to keep themselves in the league this year.

Goodwin saying on the radio that our transfer business it done, fair enough..

Pressley saying he doesn't expect much to happen either, lolz.

Tremendous.

a complete stroll in the park, we were far superior all over the park. They look horrendous.

Love the goalie, back 3 so comfortable all day, camera was phenomenal, sapsford and dolcek gonna be brilliant for us. Fatah is a bit meh- canna believe he got bought for 5 mill

Conway11 is byling. 😉

Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

Unfortunately I wasna able to attend the gehm or watch it due to a death in the family a couple days ago.

But hey. What a great result, and from what I gather, a pretty good performance to back it up with some decent defending.

As I understand it, the Dees were in their beds.

Sorry to hear about your loss mate. Thankfully the lads could put a smile on your face with that result today.

Fatah will have better games I'm sure. Camara man of the match for me,he was everywhere. Dolcek and Sapsford definitely ran him close though. Thought Sevelj was excellent too. No real failures though, like I said, Fatah will have good games and shite games he's that kind of player I think.

Re: Dundee vs Dundee United - Sunday 31st August (2PM)

That was as easy a win as we will get there. The back 3 absolutely strolled it as did the midfield. Sapsford made a massive difference up top, Dolcek what a player as well. Agreed that Pan Cam was motm.

On that lot though, they’re fucking garbage. When we have a full strength team at new year we’ll take 5 or 6 off them.
